Edited to say I'm suffering from baby brain! Today is not the German Derby but the G2 Union Stakes. SEA THE MOON's NEXT race will be the German Derby.

I backed this last night and again this morning Stick - RV has a couple of decent chances at Salisbury but Atzeini has gone all the way to Doncaster for the last race. I have incidentally put it in a nice double with Dorraar which Fallon rides for RV at Salisbury, this horse is now handicapping off of a very reasonable looking mark.

Gonna risk secret missle in the 2:15 at Salisbury
Fast ground at five furlongs will suit and fair price

Well another very tight day but one stands out a little at 10s BENBECULA in the first at Salisbury absolutely loves the distance and weighted nicely. Hayley Turner gets the job on the rank outsider and could well see the encloser which I'm sure trainer Mitchell will be praying for . Mitch has yet to see a flat win but one of his better horses Ben looks to have been droped in a plum race here .My moneys down and good luck to them .

Willing to give blue top on the 3.05 one more try for my money. Owners were pretty bullish last time and this one owes me.

SEA THE MOON wins the G2 Union Stakes impressively, despite running green and drifting across the track. Next stop German Derby.

First World Cup bet for me tonight. Argentina in the handicap market -1 @ 10/11. Hefty bet. I backed them pre-tournament at 9/2 and from what I've seen thus far I'm confident they'll do it if they play to their usual standards. Higuain is rumoured to be missing tonight so rather than the usual 3 up they'll have to make do with just Aguero and some chap called Messi up front, bless them.

Dam these late kick-offs, getting up the next morning is a right old pain in the behind. Thank god there aren't many 02.00am kick-offs!
