"Albion delighted to announce Alan Irvine will be appointed as their new Head Coach. He has agreed a 12-month rolling contract. Irvine will complete his move to The Hawthorns once he has officially signed off from his current role as Evertonâs academy manager. Irvine will bring Rob Kelly to work as Joint-Assistant Head Coach alongside Keith Downing, whilst Dean Kiely will remain as GK coach." That has to be the most uninspiring managerial appointment since Joe Kinnear was appointed Newcastle manager.
As I guessed, they're all made up http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=550&fid=255&sty=2&act=1&mid=2111046002
Christ thats madness. Sacked by Preston, sacked by Wednesday and now academy manager at Everton. WBA first game at the KC would be nice
I know that coaches get fired all the time but a rolling 12 month contract sure doesnt sound like they have much faith in the man.
anyone know what odds he was to be appointed? That appointment seems to be very bizarre, and he will be one of the favourites to be first manager sacked next season
They sack him, someone else saves them , they don't he's learnt from his mistakes in the past. Never take anything for granted, being a City fan you should know this!
Well the Baggies fans must be totally underwhelmed, I cannot think of a much worst appointment than this for them. But as said one less relegation spot to worry about next season.
I think it will be very popular among the supporters of other teams that will be in the bottom half of the PL next season
