From the players who have left us who would you have return to LFC (current players ie no Keegan's etc) without a second thought? I'll start us off with Garcia Alonso Who else would you welcome back with open arms?
Alonso, Riise, Benayoun (better than Cole anyway), Garcia, Torres (for free only, and with his moods gone)
Raaaul - Obviously loyalty means nothing to you. And, that was his first season. Nowadays he is ****, has no pace in and around the box and looks like he hit his peak to early, therefore on his downward track.
Loyalty is very rare in football anyway. He was great under Dalglish when we played Wolves and Everton. He also scored a perfectly legitimate goal against Fulham that was wrongly ruled offside.
He was never great under Dalglish. He looked like he didn't give a ****. And for that he never deserves to wear our great shirt again. And, if people actually cared about loyalty (unlike you) then you may just see it return just like it was back in the day.
He scored 2 vs Wolves. He was our biggest threat in the first half against Everton, I remember him shrugging off the challenge of Distin then hitting the post.
I agree with Raaul on this one. Torres was looking good under Dalglish and had he'd have stayed he'd have hit the net more often then he did after his move. As for players i'd welcome back... Jerzy Dudek as cover for Reina, Arbeloa (he was quality - was gutted when he went), Mark Gonzarlez (I don't think he was given a fair crack of the whip)
We need to bring back djimi traore! Why? you ask. The last season he was a regular starter we won the CL,since then we've won nowt, need I say more!
lol! nothing like a bit of man love on a Friday morning! Raaaul has Torres still got your Barry White CD and that plant his mother gave you?
Alonso is a deffo anyway, I'd bring back Torres for half the price and I have a funny feeling we might, remember Rush back in the eighties, Mascherano is a no brainer as well, best at what he does. That's it really, just goes to show the amount of rubbish we have had in our squad the last few years, to many average to poor players.
Alonso, Mascherano. I like the Dudek suggestion if only for the fact we could give him a send-off for the CL final. I don't think it's true that there is no loyalty left- there are many players loyal to clubs they love. It is true that you can't expect much from foreign players that have no emotional connection with the club or the fans. Torres was more of an adopted son than an employee and I would have expected more from him than he has shown us. For that reason I wouldn't want him back. Loyalty is a concept that has been in decline since the Thatcherite eighties but as Skylarker pointed out, if we accept the status quo we'll never change it. If everyone was satisfied with the way things are we'd still be swinging through the trees ( all of us- not just Wayne )
