Good to see Eastern Belle get her neck in front literally. Well done on Derbyshire lads got going late but won well in the end.
I remember another one eyed horse but can't remember the name. I think that may have also won at Brighton but not sure about that bit. Can't have been many horses racing with sight in just one eye but I can't track the one I'm thinking of.
Well done Derbyshire. Surprised the second has never won a race. Had it been its first/second race that would have gone in my notebook; but that was its 18th race. Must be an awkward ride
One eyed "Capricorn Run" won the Lingfield Derby Trial a few years back. Material World, who ran over hurdles with some success, only had one eye. "The Dancer" third in the 1980 Oaks was blind in one eye. Flagship Uberalles only had one eye. Kshessinskaya who ran in the Oaks in 1995 only had one eye.
Crikey, didn't realise that TC. The one I was thinking of was probably in the 60s or 70s. Had a feeling it started with "L" and may have had the word "Look" in the name; but my memory is very foggy on this one.
Cityhull -it was the info I was given -the horse has been working with 95 rated animals and holding his own -hope you lumped on!
We don't mind a drift when they run a place at 20-1 now do we boys? LOL The horse doesn't know its price!
You have a very good eye for a horse Stick, market drifter out to 20/1, Ran a grand race to finish 2nd, as good as a 4/1 Winner! One to keep an eye out for next time out I Got my 10 YoYos E/W on @ 10/1 with that reputable bookmaker Victor Chandler, he lays my monster bets & pays best odds guaranteed...20/1.....Good Man Himself!
Well done mate it looked like it was going to go on and win not that far out but 20s a nice price for a place like you say. Pomegranate 16 & Grey Messenger 15/2 ew singles rev fc in last at Uttoxeter
I remember Belper, but I'm sure there was one with the rather obvious "Nelson" in it's name. 60's or 70's
