I am starting to hate Liverpool. First the city are trying to take away a lot of the Cruiseliners away from Southampton and now the team are trying to get half our sqaud if the media are to be believed. I am happy for Rickie but the rest of Liverpool can get stuffed. Rant over Sorry
I'm not. They're just seeing a club with good players that seem to be a bit destabilised. Fair enough to them. It's up to us to persuade those good players to stay. Great club with a good manager who play the right way.
You are probably right and I expect we would do the same thing in their position. I will be better once the new manager comes in and we know whats happening
IMO the board must be just bitter because we took players from under their noses the last couple of windows. Feels a bit targeted to be honest. If i'm putting my heavily opinionated hat on, I have to be honest and say I hate Liverpool as much as (possibly more than) Spurs. To put this into context, I had 50 quid (and a lot of personal pride) with a mate on Arsenal not winning the league and when it came to the game between Arsenal and Liverpool, I still wanted Arsenal to win. I think this all started THIS season. I met a London based Liverpool fan. Arrogant, Opinionated, Self absorbed, Smug. 4 words I could use to describe him. I have many more but they are NSFW. He had absolutely no interest in any team other than Liverpool and went on and on and on about their history. Completely clueless and uneducated in terms of any sort of football history apart from his Liverpool blinkered glasses. He genuinely believed they were the best team in the world and had been since he could remember. I laughed at him. That didn't go down too well. Unfortunately, i encountered this situation many times throughout the season and those select few fans have ruined a clubs reputation for me. Believe it or not, Liverpool used to be my second team in school. Couldn't be further from the truth now.
Just been on Newsnow and they think they might have to pay around £10 mill for Lovren, a load of dreamers.
Liverpool have always been a bunch of ****s. Never fell for the "cheeky scally knowledgeable supporter" bullshit. Some of my nasiest moments at away games have been at Anfield & Stanley Park. Their more recent fans seem to have a big chip on their shoulder and a sense of entitlement, the like you also see with Spurs fans.
I have to say I am quite optimistic. Naturally I would like to keep the team together but the worst case scenario is they we do not buy anyone who is not better than we already have. Is that not the southampton way? We dictate the prices on our sales. It might just be that we end up with a better team that is capable finishing above Liverpool. Come on. Dream a little.
You just got a like from Meth. That's a far worse thing to happen than anything to occur at Anfield or Stanley Park......
Spot on, CBK! Having lived in and around Liverpool for over 40 years I have drawn the following conclusions: 1. The City is truly brilliant; 2. If you want a sensible footie conversation find an Evertonian (or even better a Tranmere fan!); 3. Finding a knowledgeable Reds fan is hard work. They do exist, and I have friends and family to prove it. But it is so hard to get a Red to tell you anything other than "the fact that" Liverpool are the best team ever (history proves it, they say) and that given time they'll be the world's number one (again). Definitely the worst Reds fans are the glory hunters (Essex Reds WTF!). After we'd lost to the Blues in December, I was drinking with a bunch of them after the game. There was common agreement that it had been a good game; we should have had a penalty; the result could have gone either way. Arriving back home after that home defeat to the Reds I was asked whether I'd enjoyed "the football lesson." That lesson including, of course, not to allow a lucky ricochet to fall at the feet of Suarez. Prats!
The fans are ****ers. Always banging on about Hillsborough, and at the same time making light of other's misfortune. I liked how they played football last season, so glad they didn't win the league though. It was hard enough listening to the smug assholes after they won the CL. Bare in mind my location, these are just glory hunters, not "real" fans. I always make a point of asking them directions to Anfield from the St.
At the Liverpool vs Man City game, the City fans and the rest of the country for that matter All showed respect for the Hillsborough 1 minute silence. But soon as the game started the scousers booed City every time they touched the ball. Went down in my estimation after that.
