    Will Jay Simpson be on this one day? Maybe the fall was not quite as dramatic but I remember Arsenal being very excited about him, he was highly rated and now he's playing in Thailand.

    Federico Macheda. Wasn't he going to be the big sensation for Man Utd a couple of seasons back...seems to have gone backwards in those two years..

    His rep as a big sensation was based pretty much solely on that screamer against Villa.

    Injuries didn't help but two English next big things of a similar vintage fall into this category. Step forward Francis Jeffers and Seth Johnson. Notable mention for Michael Rickets too.

    Callum Davenport, although I think that had more to do with him being stabbed in both legs that footballing ability.
