OK, so I know he's a tosspot but he does make me laugh at times. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/201...-quotes_n_5472814.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular
His one liners are of his generation.....he is 93 and he fought in WW2 for us. Upper class twit but still putting a shift iin despite his failing health. I'm no royalist but I respect him.(which is more than I do for his offspring)
Bet he ain't got a fan club like this.
I admire his Navy stuff in WW2 also, shame his future wife's lot didn't share the same enthusiasm for the Country, that lot were trying to broker a deal with the Nazis to which Chamberlain shot down. Basically they wanted a safe passage to Canada but wanted to remain as the Sovereignty to Great Britain.. The good old Queen Mother, what a lass she was eh?
Haven't got a problem with the Royal family to be honest. They've all done their bit during war. The queens uncle doesn't count obviously, snivelling git! But Phillip did his bit, the Queens cousins did theirs, she lost one of them in the war (Duke of Gloucester I think?). And since then, Andrew's did his bit in the South Atlantic and more recently Harry was in Afghanistan. Most of us don't know just how close to danger they were allowed to place themselves but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, coz they were there and I wasn't.
