This really is the point i think. A lot of people on here are underestimating the effect of the loss of Cortese. He was the man in which a lot of players had a lot of confidence. With him on board they all knew what was going to happen with as well the club as themselves. They don't know now and they only hear a lot of nonsense coming from the board and all kind of strange people around that board. Confidence in the future of the club is lost so they will all choose for their own confidence and try to find something else. You will be surprised i think what you are gonna hear more, even from players you don't expect.

I'm as bothered that we've piss off players like Lala, Shaw & Dejan, because not answering the phone, is at least some sort of plan if they are looking for a way out. But pissing off Cork & Fonte is truly unbelievable, these are the players that will truly make or break next season.

Wasn't that, like, a month ago? Maybe they're just waiting for the new manager to be in before they do The Watch.

Just my opinion, but I think the players are just trying to take advantage of the lack of a manager and what they consider to be a weak board.
I don't know if their calls are not being taken, or if that is just spin being put out to justify asking for, or agitating for a move, making the board look bad, while they try to come out of it, smelling of roses.
Maybe they have all been told that their futures will only be discussed, when the new manager is in situ, which again, doesn't fit the players' plans, of a quick escape, which is why calls maybe aren't being taken.

What I would like to see, happen, is when we call a press meeting, to reveal the new manager, I hope the Mail and Mirror reporters are met at the door and told to politely **** off and make it up. Again!
Likewise for home games next season.

probably right. the players or agents want to resolve their future in the sense that they don't want to miss out on early interest being shown by the big clubs. what sense is there for the club to acknowledge or process that interest?

i wonder if the club's statements are precipitating the ****storm or whether they are pre-empting a ****storm that they had got wind of early.

fonte and cork are odd situations but probably similar. there is early interest from fulham, everton, and hull. They don't want to be told later that there's nothing on the table for them and miss those opportunities.

Technically it is. The atmosphere is held in place by the gravitational pull of the earth. On Jupiter you would weigh about 3.5 times what you do on earth, on the moon about 0.5 times. The low gravity on the Moon means that the atmosphere escapes into space. On the Earth the atmosphere is held in place and pulled constantly towards the Earth, with lighter gases rising towards the upper atmosphere.

To go back on topic, I very much doubt a day before the opening game of the WC, dean would instruct his agent to hand in a transfer request. If he did? As another poster said, we found him, we'll find another.

    Just my 2p worth

    :)

The request was over a week ago, apparently. Though why his agent would release it now, I have no idea.

Aren't we being told this happened two weeks ago?

I want this over now. Please hire a new manager or euthanise me.

I think the Mail decided to release it today as Croatia play the hosts tomorrow in the opening game?

I doubt that. He'll not shed a tear, but doubt he'll be enjoying the exodus, its not like he benefits from it. KL had a opportunity, she didn't take it. Got no gripe with NC.

She knows more than the combined brain power of the kneejerking bedwetting supporters, who couldn't run a bath, let alone anything resembling a business.

**** me, Saints fans deserve a "meltdown" of the club, because from what I see & hear around, they are ****ing spineless clueless ****ers.

There's ways to cost cut & limit ambition, & I can live with that. But to let it all get pulled apart while saying it'll it will all get reinvested is frankly pretty stupid. But while you in such a fine mood, why don't you elaborate.....or just yell some more crap.

Why don't you just ****ing wait and see what happens?

Really, how pathetic it is that people willing believe the utter scumbag tabloid press & their equally rancid little internet twitter ****s over and above anything said by the club they supposedly SUPPORT.
