Jordan Princess tomorrow at Newbury. Scrub the last run, the form behind Taghrooda now looks even better!

    Agreed ^

    A couple at Uttoxeter of interest;

PROVINCIAL PRIDE 15/2 8.30 having his first run since coming over from Ireland and is potentially well treated in a poorish looking race. Eyecatching that DO'R gets the leg up.

CYCLOP 2.30 is a winner over hurdles in France already and if its available at evens or better I think he is worth really getting stuck into!

Have gone against you in both these races. Got Sterling Gent 14/1 in the 8:30 Uttoxeter and Gimme Five in the 6:00 Uttoxeter. Going to put rev fc on them with yours now though

Maraayil turned out quick at Newbury, not one to trust and is a cliff horse for me, should run a race.

Gathering Power 5/1 looks the bet of the day to me, 3 pounds worse off with Joyeuse but Barzalona produced her too soon and I think with Fergal Lynch back on it might be a different result, he has the key to this filly. Lynam is saying he cant see her reversing the form, the last time I heard him saying his horse couldnt reverse form Sole Power beat Shea Shea in the Kings Stand. Joyeuse deserves to be favourite but 5/1 looks enormous.

Backed Derbyshire at 9/4 - someone on here said it's 30lb well in so but surprised he's not in a handicap but he's been pulled out so many times recently due to the ground, hoping he's not just in this to take the bookies off the scent but has been well backed again

    Morning, team. Hope everyone well.

Lovely card over the county line, at Newbury, and I’m really keen to see the Listed affair (3.25) as in it we will get the first chance to evaluate how good the form of Radiator’s York Listed race was. The 5th and 6th home that day – BELLE DE LAWERS, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, and Pelerin reoppose here and I think the former can go close here. I’d apply similar comments to old boy Gosden’s EASTERN BELLE, what a lovely name for a filly by the way. A very good second in similar Grade at Goodwood last time she appears another classy type for her handler. In fact I can’t split the pair so the suggested wager would be a ‘Reverse Exacta’ on the 2 Belle’s.

In the preceding heat (2.50) old boy Gosden saddles a couple in a race he won last year with Cushion. I’d side with his STELLA BELLISSIMA, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, who is wonderfully bred being by Sea The Stars and a half sister to Pattern performers Samuel, Duncan and Deidre, another lovely name for a filly.

Finally, across at Great Yarmouth if DERBYSHIRE doesn’t win the 1 mile Classified Stakes (3.15) then I’m a Chinaman. Is very highly thought of and as I said last week went off at just 3/1 for one of the best maidens of last term. Should oblige here with ease and then go on to much, much better things.

    Good luck all.

<laugh> Brings back fond memories of summer holidays as a child, we used to travel from North Wales to the South coast, always spending a couple of days at the Brighton August meeting.

Do you remember the one eyed Belper trained by John Dunlop and ridden by the wee fella Carson, was blind in his right eye but was a course specialist at Brighton (6 Wins), a left handed track, he also won the City & Suburban in 1974.

    Good Luck :emoticon-0112-wonde

Eastern Belle ought to take a lot of beating today, had tipped her in the Musidora until she was pulled but her first run over 10f was promising and she may well add a win to her line of 2's today.

    As I Am.

On the same theme. Who is the one eyed colt who could this day week win The Gold Cup??? There’s a clue, of sorts, in his name.

    Newb 2.20 Elshaadin 7/1

The name stood out to me last night, just remembered today she was a bit of an eyecatcher first time out.

I would imagine that there is a small profit in have 4 running for you in this race (Eastern Belle 9/4, Jordan Princess 9/2, Queen Of Ice 7/1, Belle De Lawers 9/2). If I had to pick one it would be Belle De Lawers but I made that mistake yesterday.
