........... where's the best place to watch the England match?

Bearing in mind it'll be late on, I'll have had a few and my voice gets increasingly louder the more I've had <ok>

'Walkabout' its a Sports Bar in the City Centre.

Watched England games in there before, and never had any bother.

As I'm not familiar with the place I don't know if that's good advice or an 'in joke' from you Billy.

Is Paisley Road otherwise known as the 'valley of death' <laugh>

TBH I'm not sure if it'll be Glasgow ....... I'm still finalising my plans and it could be anywhere on Saturday.
We're off to a place called Scourie Bay in the far North West but have to go to Aberdeen which is pulling us east via Newcastle & Edinburgh.

TBH, I've seen how little the Scots like England, football wise, and a bit worried.
The Scots are the most schizophrenic people I've ever met, absolutely great crack but can change in a second.

I once helped a fella who ran the security in Whitley Bay and I ended up at the Rex Hotel during what he called 'Jock Fortnight'.
    I won't forget that mate <doh>

This ^ if you suspect that England might score at any point and your reaction would be anything other than "Aww f***in pish" in the best Glaswegian accent you can manage.

Hmmmm, my problem is that I'm just as much a bombastic bigmouth in real life as I am on here <doh>

I don't mean any malice but some people don't get my piss-taking sense of humour, those who know me do but that's not much help.

I'm hoping to reach the Highlands before Saturday where they might be more reasonable ...... or at least I'll have a prettier burial site <laugh>

if you go in a "mainstream' bar it'll be alright, just don't go in an estranged local pub in easter house or the like

Smug, Paisley Road West is Rangers territory & there's some canny bars along there with some great crack.
They can be a bit rough like so mebbe not a place to take your lass.

There's a nice village near Clydebank called Old Kilpatrick with a cracking pub called The Etterick, you'll be fine in there & they'll definitely have the game on.
As the Hull lad says though, avoid Easterhouse at all costs!!!

<laugh> Sounds like a tartan minefield.

The Etterick sounds canny though ........ shame Scotland aren't playing as well, I have Scots blood and like the people.

If you are in Aberdeen you should be alright. Plenty of banter is knocking around already.

They probably hate Rangers more than they do England up here.

Kilpatrick is a lovely village smug & the Etterick is frequented by mainly older folk.
There's a few ****s get in the one straight opposite mind The Telstar.

I'm looking forward to the trip, I'd imagine there's a fair few 'expats' in Aberdeen.

Our lass was watching Rebus last night and it was full of slashings and drunken heedcases ....... should've watched Coast or summat <doh>

Aye loads of folk from Sunderland/Newcastle way. It's a decent place tbh.

Only problem is Aberdeen city council haven't granted any late licenses due to Scotland not being in the tournament. So most places, especially during the week can only show the games up until 12. The weekend should be fine though as most places in the city centre are open until 1 friday saturday.

You could go anywhere mate and say 'I'm smug, I like to mitigate a good argument' and have them running for the door, ffs you could get Alex Salmond voting to stay in the UK after 5 or 10 mins..<laugh>

I'm thinking of having a badge made that says, "I'm Smug' so people know to either clout me or buy me a pint ........ I probably deserve both tbh.

TBH mate, I'm slightly apprehensive about shouting for England in the 'wrong' pub in Scotland.

Fortunately our lass will be there and she's probably hit as many punchbags as you in her time <ok>

I bet you miss putting your wraps & mitts on, I know she does.
