Very sad and shocked. Grew up with him through Kevin Turvey, The Young Ones, Bottom and Alan B'stard.
I'd forgotten Kevin Turvey.......Pure genius......!! Does anyone remember 'The Dangerous Brothers' ??? I loved his early stuff.........DANGEROUS.......
Genuinely sad about this, part of my childhood gone in a way - used to love him when I was growing up in the 80s. Might have to watch Mr Jolly lives next door as a tribute.
I feel as I felt when Mel Smith died last year. Two of the unmissable funny men of my teens and early twenties have now gone. I don't like getting old.

Great Quote, very sad Riks Death is about as funny as going to the toilet without taking your trousers down RIP Rik
He's a legend. I was hoping that he would still be involved in a new, groundbreaking comedy but he won't get that chance now.
I loved Bottom growing. Especially as they were all QPR. Some of his early stuff was a bit before my time. But all the stuff i have seen of his is brilliant. Very sad news to wake up to this morning
