You can get 100/1 on England in Paddy Power Ted, for up to a tenner.

I don't think Rommedahl or Jensen were Charlton players when they were in the World Cup.

    Matt Holland
    Trevor Edwards

I think are two. Don't think I'll get the other one while I'm on lunch (though I think I know the country and year)

Didn't John Hewie miss a penalty for Scotland in the 1958 finals?

John Hewie would be the other one. I somehow mixed him up with John Hewitt who scored the winner for Aberdeen in the European Cup Winners' Cup about 15 years later. <doh>

    Hello

albeit that I drew Uruguay and England in the works draw, I have the following predictions....

    Winners - Brazil
    Top Scorer - Neymar
Player of the Tournament - Neymar
    Surprise Package - England
England - S/F forever the optimist!!!!!

For me, my bet tonight will be a HT/FT with a draw/win for Brazil, lots of pressure on Brazil and Croats working their socks off in first half (14/15 at Willy Hill) so I can see it 0-0 at HT and 2-0 Brazil at FT... Bet Victor doing 3.2 but I don't have an account with them.

    England/Italy

    Draw - 2/1 Ladbrooks
Draw 0-0 - 11/2 Corals or Willy Hills
Draw 1-1 - 11/2 Corals or Willy Hills
Draw 2-2 - 22/1 Corals or Willy Hills

So if you are sure it is going to be a draw..... have a lay off bet at Ladbrooks for £10 to produce £30 return and a £20 bet on your choice of 0-0/1-1/2-2....... so if it is a 2-2 draw you pick up @£500 if it is 0-0 or 1-1 you pick up about £130 if it is a draw which you didn't pick then you break even................ if the result is NOT a draw you lose £30!

I was in a meeting until 11.30 so picked up on this rather late. After much scrambling for passwords....picture Ben Hamer looking for the ball in a muddy goalmouth....I managed to get £40 on. £20 on my account. £20 on a chum's account. Better than nothing.<ok>

Agree with the comments about the England v Italy. The pitch is terrible, which will suit Woy's brand of passing football. I cannot for the life of me see anything other than a 0-0.

Tonight I have done 'over' goals in the Brazil v Croatia match. I would advise you blokes to have a look at the corners & bookings market as well, if you don't play it already. I am going for over 45 points bookings tonight & over 12 corners. Sadly Corals no longer do a goals market, so will have to mix the bets up.

Do either of you chaps play the shirts market ?

I keep it outright, btts, btts + match result, scorecast and over/under goals. Prefer to put them in an accy, but for the WC will keep it to singles and doubles.

Scorecast tonight is Brazil 2-0 with Fred first gs.

Looking at the yellow card market I thought corluka at 11/1 is decent seeming Brazil like to attack the flanks.
