Christ where does the time go. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/wo...-USA-1994-World-Cup-goal-celebration-son.html
9 of the Italian squad players were downgraded from first class to economy for the flight to Brazil - as the plane was not big enough. I bet Mario was not one of them like ?
Know a few who have gone, some saved £100 a month in dedicated bank account since 2010. Not cheap. With this in mind went last summer for the warm up tour, stayed in Rio and met Roy at a function. Had a brief chat with him - courteous, polite, humble- and advised him to bolster up his squad with HCFC larkers. He listened patiently to my advice but as yet hasn't taken it. Great country to visit but I reckon prices will have been multiplied by 3 this summer.
I think being born and brought up in Sweden is probably enough to justify his inclusion in the Swedish team.
Only time I will consider traveling to a Footy game is when Hull City are away. Never really been bothered about England's games for quite some time now. Or champions league Or games not featuring Hull City. I will be watching Argentina's games and hoping messi scores loads due to £25 on Argentina to win with messi as top scorer @ 16/1.
FIFA have instructed the match officials to look out for "9" offences above all else including fouls in the box prior to a corner or free kick being taken, divers and shirt pulling. Now how long will this last i wonder ?
Because they didn't play well? From what highlights I've seen of the final it was the Peter Schmeichel show as well.
If they actually do this it'll help us. Italy are ****s for pulling at set pieces. Remember when we played them in the last Euros? Everyone remembers them and Pirlo destroying us, almost ignoring the fact it was a draw after extra time, but what hardly anyone seems to remember is that we had loads of set pieces and Terry and Lescott were getting chucked on the floor every single time. It was the first time those 5th and 6th officials were used and they did absolutely **** all about it despite some these incidents being right in front of them. Even now I've never seen one of them make a decision or even communicate with the ref to help make a decision. I also remember Celtic playing Juventus in the Champions League a year or two ago and it being an absolute farce with the amount of set pieces Celtic had where people were getting thrown about. Chiellini was the main one doing it in that game and the ref on more than one occasion warned him about it, retreated to his position on the edge of the box and watched him start it immediately when the ball came in again, but didn't have the balls to do anything about it. Weirdly though you get penalties given for it every so often in games where it's not really been an issue, such as the one we got against Norwich this season when Sagbo was pushed quite gently. It needs some consistency.
Yeah, it's not like Januzaj who hasn't got a drop of English blood in him, wasn't born in England and wasn't brought up in England.
I would agree that the hat stands at each goals are a waste of time. In saying that Sky Sports did a programme with ex.Italian referee Pierluigi Collina called Master Class a few weeks ago and he explained what they do. Showed examples of how they communicate to the man in the middle. It shocked me just how much verbal goes on between them. At least this world cup has goal line technology so no more Lampard-esk goal errors. I shall be looking at just what all the match officals go on. I expect either an Asian or South American ref against Italy.
