Just like Scotland, South Norwood is renowned for its lakes, mountains, social problems, decaying shipyards and oil industry.
Croydon certainly has social problems didn't they burn down their furniture store? and they had a thriving suntan oil industry when Simon Jordan was in charge
I think the same attention-seeking group demanded that South Norwood replace Cumbria as 'the Lake District' because they had two lakes or something.
I remember that now. To think I grew up in that part of the world, and managed to dodge the Palace bullet. Thank you grandad!
Demanding independence yet wanting to maintain a currency union illustrates the sheer stupidity of the SNP. As for Croydon, I last went there about 3 years. It would be fair to say that the area has gone downhill, primarily as a result of immigration IMO.
I think the addition of Croydon would allow Scotland to set up its own currency, if that really is the deciding factor for anyone. Today's Sunday Express says that independence for Scotland could affect the search for a cure to cancer...
Definitely not if you become a fixture in the Scottish Premier league. Nice to know your cognitive abilities are up to the task of comprehending the thread!
Surely you'll still be visiting London occasionally, even if it's just to get to your away matches in Alloa or Raith or Peterhead or whatever. It's said a lot that the Old Firm clubs would have to make their way through the English football pyramid before they could play in the PL, so I presume Palace would be starting in the Dumfries & Galloway third division, or would they 'do a new Rangers' and start in Div3?
About 45 years ago Kilmarnock had a player Gerry Queen, decent player but terrible disciplinary record. He got sold off to Palace, and when he inevitably got sent orft for fighting it prompted the headline "Queen in Brawl at the Palace".
