Haha sunning it on the beach nursing yesterday's hangover started on rum punch at 10am and finished in the pub at 1am - just getting sorted for tonight's sesh!
We're into winter here and I'm in t-shirt shorts and trainers in 20 degree weather by the beach... About to buy some fish and chips
Just to outdo Sydney, its 23 today where i am. . Supposed to get warmer by the end of the week. This is the weather i love though, not too hot, not too cold.......
Well, this ****ty rain has brought all the greasy ****e out onto the road surfaces - so everyone drive carefully. I was out in my car in the rain the other day, casually going round a corner... the next thing I know we've span 180, hit the grass verge and flipped and rolled, laid upside-down. We had 3 police cars, 2 ambulances and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance out to us. They said we were lucky to walk away from it - we're very lucky to only have scrapes and bruises. I won't make the rookie error of letting the missus drive in the rain again! So yes, the rain is a bit ****ty, but it could be a lot worse!
I agree this type of weather is great - we'll have to agree to disagree whether 20 degrees and being in Sydney is better than 23 degrees and being in Brisbane!!
Bloody hell. I've done a 360 spin in similar circumstances but never the flippy over thing, and I didn't need the full set of emergency services either. Makes you realise just how fragile we all are though. Glad you're all ok, sounds like you were really lucky. Now don't go screwing that good luck up by suggesting it was 1) your wife's fault or 2) she's a crappy driver!
Fiancée. And She admits it was her fault, and all the women at her work have been telling her she's letting the side down, so fair comment, lol. But yes, very lucky. A scary experience.
