Don't bet on Spain. They have had a fantastic few tournaments but they will now go into a transitional period where they groom the next team.. wait about 10 more years and we will see.

Reus has been ruled out of the WC through injury. Yet another talented player we won't be seeing playing at this tournament.

They are good odds for Giroud. He's much better than a lot give him credit for. Where did you get those odds ? I'm not a betting man, but I might have a flutter this tournie

Ladbrokes, though it turns out he was actually at 50-1. He's 66-1 at Paddy Power though. I thought he'd maybe get some luck in France's group, but maybe not so much now Ribery is out.

France are like the Spuds of the WC, always finding a way to **** it up for themselves.

Is he really fit for the WC?? Having been ruled out for the closing few matches of the season with a niggling injury, I don't think anyone is doing him any favours by proclaiming him to be match fit. Ox needed a summer of "rest" and a spell with the physios to build up muscle strength on his legs. We all saw what happened the other night. A tough tackle and he is crocked again. There is every likelihood it will happen again in the group phase of the WC and then that's his WC over, and worse for Arsenal, a struggle for him to be properly fit for the start of the season. Talented player who on talent deserves to be at the WC, but feel Arsenal and England would have been better served by letting him recover full fitness back here.
