Erm are you on pcp matt?

How can you forget sterling, gerrard, sturridge, johnson, henderson and of course the newly declared world class player lambert.

Rooney should be droppes as he isnt any of the above who are winners matt. Winners of things and stuff. Success stories, gods amongst men.

All these people criticising and ridiculing Wayne Rooney absolutely disgust me. Its only friendlies so far and Wayne is getting his fitness and sharpness back. Before the 1986 world cup Diego Maradona was not peforming well and taking it easy within the friendly games. I remember Romario in the friendly games prior to the 1994 world cup being very quiet and Brazil drawing 1-1 with Canada. What has Ronaldo and Messi (apart from one goal against the mighty Slovenia) done in the pre-tournament friendlies?

People should lay-off Wayne Rooney. He is without doubt the very best footballer England have and he is the only reason why England have any chance no matter how little of winning the world cup. The guy is an absolute phenomenon and the English public should support our national icon.

The likes of Stan Collymore can go to hell as far as im concerned

The actions of the RS fans disgust me. They constantly criticse the United players even when they play for England.

When the RS players play for England (and this time unusually there are more than United) I view them as England players rather than RS. They will get my support in that capacity.

All the RS fans still support their players playing for other countries on their board, even as opponents of England. The racist gets full support playing (or not!) for Uruguay. They would rather the racist scored against England rather than Rooney scoring against Uruguay.

No wonder they are rightly called ******ed.

Quite frankly I'd drop Rooney against Italy, play Barkley in the 10 position with Sturridge up top.

Thats because you are a moron though.

Who got us to this world cup? Barkley? Sturridge?

Neither of them? Wow. The way idiots have been going on recently you would have thought they did.

Dropping Rooney would be a huge gamble. I would play Rooney and if he does not deliver within the hour, I would stick in Sturridge.

I would definitely play Barkley. It would be criminal not to play the best attacking midfielder available in the squad.

Sturridge is the in form strike you halfwit and Barkley is in form superb form in the number 10 role, whereas Rooney has been poor.
Rooney should be used as an impact player and give those in form a chance. From a Welsh perspective I'd rather see Rooney play than Barkley though.

In form? Are they? Based on what? The seasin that finished weeks ago? Like **** they are.

Rooney is the in form striker for england. Perhaps you need reminding about his goals that have got england to brazil and allowed tge likes of barkley and sturridge to even be involved.

You are going on past reputation and form from months ago. If you really don't see Sturridge as the in form English striker then you are seriously deluded.

Rooney not runnning about pointlessly in a pointless warm up game means absolutely **** all.

Rooney should not be dropped, he also shouldnt be out on the left imo either.

  17. See, if it was a straight forward pick between Rooney or Studge I wouldn't complain. However, it isn't. We will play both which means one will play out of position. Rooney is not a number ten or winger and that's my issue. If we play Rooney up top instead I won't complain. Whether that means dropping Studge or pushing him wide then so be it, difference being Studge can play from a wide position and is able to offer as much there as anyone else, I don't think Rooney is.
