I think we should arrange a handover, if only so we can get to see Chris Patten's daughters look these days.

Sad to see their team being used for blatant propaganda purposes.

Presumably they don't believe that Argentina should be handed back to the original south american native tribes whom the Spanish colonised?

    Agreed.

It denigrates them, football and is in itself entwined in xenophobia with their prominent anti Anglo sentiment.

It's almost as bad as Mel Gibson's movies. Anyone who has seen Braveheart knows what I'm talking about.

As for the Falklands, Argentina didn't even exist as an independent nation when we colonised them. They can **** right off, they're ours. End of.

Which nation would a Falkland Islander be eligible to play football for?

If i remember correctly Fifa doesn't accept political statements of any nature within Football.

The Argentine football team need serious disciplinary action for stirring up Political Propaganda in the wake of a World Cup, infact just kick the bastards out.

FFS, not this crap again. The locals have voted years ago. Nothing else should be said on the topic.

As for Alex Sabella ? who cares. Afterall, he used to play for the Blunts.

FIFA have launched an investigation and the banner has already been binned.

In other words, they've surrendered again.

The same question could be asked should Scotland vote to go independant (lets hope they do)

In the Olympics for example, would a scottish competitor be aloud to choose whether they are Team GB or Scotland. If say they have one english, one scottish parent?

The players shouldn't have agreed to do it anyway, most play their football within the UK. Hypocrites

The Falklands is a tricky problem - Britain, France and Spain have all had claims in the past.

It was only permanently colonised after Argentina declared independence.

Whilst our colonial expansion certainly gave parts of the world the benefit of our law, engineering, etc it also left a legacy of nationalist problems in some areas.
