Steve's well down the list of runners and riders..Koeman is odds-on, then its Sherwood, Moyes and a load of others. Neil Lennon is in front of SB..!!!. Scott Sinclair to HCAFC
Your not serious right, Southampton are not better than Hull at the moment, I have heard it all now. They **** all over you as a team (and us at the moment before you start). Your owner is a nutter and Southampton will either keep their good players or if not have heaps of cash, why would a manager not want to go there.....except Gus of course he chose to stay at a big club
They'll have lost most of their players by the time the season starts. Lambert - Gone Shaw - Going? Man Utd Lallana - Going? Liverpool Lovren - Going? Sperz Wanyama - Going? Sperz Fonte -Going? Rodriguez - Going? No disrespect, but with these outgoing players probably very likely to be outgoing. A new chair woman who doesn't seem so free her Liebherr family purse strings - I can see a struggle for them next season. I don't care how good the youth system is, or how much money they have to spend. It will be very difficult building a cohesive squad capable of staying up if they lose the players listed above.
Come the start of the season, I don't think they'll be any great shakes. They'll nearly be as **** as you. PS It's you're not your.
Schneiderlin has been called up to replace Ribery, meanwhile. He might be off this summer too - and he's a fine player.
Steve Bruce is the best manager since sliced bread was invented - you chaps need to do everything you can to keep him
To RK and the other Southampton fans saying "well that's what we said before our manager went off to Spurs" (or words to that effect), Spurs is one of the big clubs in this country, with a quality squad, each season they are capable of qualifying for Europe etc, etc. And any manager of a smaller club in the PL/Europe would love to manage a club of that size. Now we move on to Southampton, who like Hull, will only qualify for Europe through one of the cups (and aren't playing in Europe next season - unlike Hull), squad quality - depends on who leaves and who will be attracted to St Marys to replace those who have left, and whose fans will in all likelihood expect another top 10 finish (which will depend on the quality of such signings) whereas Hull fans will probably be happy with 14th place (as we've got the Europa league to contend with). So at the end of the day a move from Southampton to Spurs is a step up to prove yourself as a manager, a move from Southampton to Hull is at best a slightly small/sideways step - and if Bruce wants to manage at OT, he needs to prove stability in his career (ie stay at a club for as long as possible) and manage in Europe. Hence he will stay at the KC
Brucey has done a good job for us since he arrived a coupe of seasons ago; and if he's in charge next season then fine; that said if he doesn't want to remain here next season for whatever reason then goodbye! A manager has to be absolutely committed to the club without which they would be bl**dy useless. Allam has already said he wants Brucey to commit to City long term, so if he's not here next season its only one persons decision, Brucey himself!
If Levy thinks Livermore is worth £6.5m; i'll have some of what he's been drinking! Lots of issues dictate what a players value may be, and whilst Jake did well for us last season I would personally walk away at a penny more than £4m.
How does this ^ fit with this thread ? Anyway, Bruce will go as soon as he get's the chance,he wants out. He's said on more than one occasion, he wants to manage a big un,and the chance to compete for trophies every season. He'd snap Southamptons hand off given the chance, he won't get the chance though.
Can't see it happening. Saints will want a manager whose done more than fighting for survival. Plus, Koeman is fits the bill, cos the Dutch know how to bring through youngsters. Their academy is one of the best in the UK. If it does go through and he leaves us than good luck to him.
