Can understand us releasing Bondz N'gala, although will miss the catchy chant whenever he scored, etc. According to wiki, they have goalie Paul Jones down as a Pompey player already ! He is 27, and 6'3", so a decent height. Looks like neither Trevor Carson or Jamie Ashdown to return to Fratton park, which is a shame. If only we could offload John Sullivan somewhere, we could at least bring back one of Jamie or Trevor, which would be pleasing

Do you really think after spending last season as number 1 that Carson would be happy to play second fiddle Wooperts - apparently he is being let go from Bury because they need to cut their wage bill. I can't really see Jamie Ashdown back here either. Maybe AA will go for someone young as back-up for Jonesie.

I said to some friends that I thought that with AA at the helm Jed would be more likely to sign, and once Hollands and Shorey signed I was even more sure. I'm now sat in my garden in the evening sun enjoying a few restoratives and trying not to get too excited. Next season looks like it could be really good fun.
A season without a relegation battle would be nice! Even challenging for the play offs would be a novel experience!
What excellent news, I am so relieved he has signed a 3 year contract. Along with Danny Hollands, we now have two possible goalscoring midfielders in our team.
