Once again, the Voice of the Walley editor has outdone himself with his pathetic, nasty and positively spiteful attempt to belittle others and prolong his mastobatory self importance. He leaked cafc privileged information about a redundancy that was not finalised, then to further humiliate the same guy (one of the nicest guys I have met at the club) belittles his valley party achievement by implying that the guy only did well by the failure of the Tories to field a candidate! , later in the same thread he revels in another guys redundancy. What a horrible nasty thing to do, bearing in mind he cried all the way to the employment tribunal when he himself was removed from his job and laughed all the way to the bank later. Bear this mind when you buy that arse wipe of an 'independent' Charlton fanzine.
Everitt has become a bitter and twisted man. The belittling of a true Charlton legend in Paul Ellis was just plain nasty. He also should not be posting this stuff on a Fans Forum without Paul's permission. The person who is leaking this sensitive information should also hang his head in shame. If I were Katrien I would tell G 21 to go to Hell.
I don't understand why Rick keeps doing it. He settled out of court with the Club, which normally implies that he has been financially looked after. He reminds me of a jilted boyfriend who keeps eyeing his ex bird, despite the fact that she has now married someone else. Rick clearly, despite everything, wants his job back. No problem if he wants to dig out certain bloated egos still hanging around the Club - I am happy to provide him with a few names- but Paul Ellis certainly does not fall into that category.
He tried to get his job back under RD and KM. He was told ''no thanks''. That's why he is continueing to be bitter
I am afraid it goes far beyond the comparison of some jealous ex but RE is displaying all the ugly, vindictive and blind hatred of a man that has lost all sense of reality. This is a trained journalist and local MP not some uneducated plumb on a ego ride. Every post that idiot produces is designed to attack someone at CAFC (who he had a connection/beef with) and powder his own nose at the time, the thought that someone could post nice things about Paul clearly infuriated the ugly step sister and his actions amounted to sending out a leaving card before the guy knew he was leaving saying 'Not sorry to see you go' The bloke is a bully and a fantasist. I hope one day the blinkers at other sites will come off and I want him nowhere near this club again.
Paul is one of those people that Clubs like Charlton are built around but that 'Dick Everett' is using Paul's current situation to attack the Club again. He has obviously known Paul for a very long time so it would have been nice for the Dick to ask Paul PRIOR to publishing his personal details on the interweb. If CL had any balls then Mr Brown wouldn't be publishing his garbage on their forum for a very long time! They won't of course! They will ban our dear Nick but not Airman????? I hope nobody buys his sordid little rag of a magazine or ****ty book.
His information wasn't even correct. So I hope people remember all the rubbish he said over the years about former colleagues might now actually be bull**** too, as opposed to the former status he held with his word being gospel. At the time the people he attacked knew his wheels were/would come off and never retaliated. They still hold jobs within the game, where as Rick now writes a little fanzine which is the shadow of itself. This makes me happy.
In the mid 80s during the Wilderness Years there were a hardy little band of us - probably no more than 100 in number - who continued to travel away by train to places like Lincoln & Grimsby. Paul was the mainstay for the tickets, and Rick was often one of our number on the train. There surely should be a sense of camaraderie amongst that 100 - many of whom are now dead - given that people have known each other through Charlton for 30 odd years? This is what makes Rick's behaviour over Paul rather surprising.
Indeed it is. He offered his services directly to KM shortly afterwards in regards to some specific matters. He wouldn't be able to deny it if questioned on it
It is all fitting together now. That is why he formed G21 because he had his nose put out of joint by Katrien.
Rick is not the only one, to be fair. There is a hardcore of around 6 who have sought to absolutely dominate the club from a supporter perspective for years. They look at other fans in the same way that the owners of the village shop in League of Gentleman looked at visitors...."this is a local shop, for local people". A couple (Varney & Sutherland) have wisely moved on, a couple more are now on the periphery under RD so have to think of creative ways to worm their way back in - hence G21, the museum, and volunteering to garden at Sparrows Lane.
I wrote this on the original G21 thread at the time: ''It's all bull****. Someone ask rick if he went looking for a job with RD and KM last month. Then ask why a month later he is setting this group up, and you will see him for all he is.'' These kind of stunts have been years in the waiting. He was seeking too much power under Murray and trying his luck constantly by undermining colleagues. The problem was, no one saw him as a threat. He was trying to fight as if he were in the Valley Party still. He cuts a lonely figure in football - with all the stunts he pulled in his time at CAFC I can't see many chairmen willing to take him on if he Sought to stay in the game (which I don't think he will).
Fortunately, the thread was locked before it got nasty so he can lay low for a few days and wander back as if nothing has happened. Again.
The Colin Powell thread on CL has taken an interesting turn. Rick is claiming that the quote from Richard Murray praising Colin Powell was made up. Murray said he enjoyed watching Paddy play, the claim is that he wasn't even a Charlton fan at the time. Another triumph for the club's shoestring comms department. They have invented a quote that wasn't accurate. Next week - Bob Peeters declares his childhood hero on TV was Sam Bartram. Rick is also claiming now that RM basically double crossed Peter Varney.
