    Why should he have just said no comment?

    Judging by the quotes the BBC have 'printed', and I'm sure there was more than just that, his response is fair and warranted.

    If I was Rooney I would have also added 'Paul Scholes can go and get ****ed, cheers' just for good measure.

    Got to say, as much as I think Scholes is right in what he says, he's been a Grade A **** by saying it at all, never mind just before a World Cup. What was he thinking? Is this the real reason he came across as shy and never gave interviews? Did Fergie keep him on a leash <laugh>
