http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...pular-new-Everton-badge-used-just-season.html Everyone makes mistakes. It's just that some don't have the grace, courtesy or wisdom to listen to core customers.
It's not just a feeling of doing us a favour it's downright contempt for the fans and while the chairman is obviously to blame, it isn't limited to him any more. The whole club has become apprehensive towards the fans and constantly defensive of its position. I'm completely with you on the seat move but I agree with CTWD not opposing it. In the current form, we're a name change campaign group and not yet a fully fledged fans group. I was told by someone at the club that it's a completely new badge, and not just a tigers head. Don't know about anyone else but I couldn't give a **** about the spacing or font on a new badge. I just want our real badge.
In my view, the two are linked. If long term supporters walk away because of it, which they are, it impacts on the opposition to the name change. It's part of the same problem.
I actually like the old badge with just the head! But it's the way they've changed the badge to just remove the words and letters they don't like and leaving the ones they do in that's pissing me off! Surely the FA must have something to say about it? If the say you can't change the name then you can't change the f'king name!!!
We're aware of that, the letter has been copied to others at the club with a request that someone else answers the question posed, if not we'll have to wait for his return(I think he's back at the end of next week anyway).
If this is the case, I don't find it too awful a prospect. We haven't, after all, always had AFC on the badge. And 'Hull City' is there, as a separate entity. That must stick in the craw for them (the Allams). If they just did this, and then stepped back from trying again to change the playing name, it's not the end of the world. When they're gone, we change it back.
Not really. Identity theft by stealth. He's pushing the boundaries, testing the waters etc with our club crest. He's already snuffing out our name on club communications and muddying the waters with our ID to hoodwink the unwary.
