"Wage demands"... Nothing new there, it wouldn't be the first time Charlton have failed to match market value.... Don't know the figures, but I suspect O'Grady's agent is doing his best at overvaluing... Personally I don't see him as a player worth busting the budget for...

Precisely, Poor judgement from some of our fans if they think this was some sort of propaganda to appease supporters... The only message this target sent out was, mediocrity, and just left me thinking & hoping that there must better targets ahead......
I never believed it was a bit of propaganda, he is hardly a signing to make me froth at the mouth. He would be a better frontman than we currently have at the club and if we can improve the rest of the side he would have been good.
It was PR in so far as the club were saying "look we are trying to bring in players with Championship experience and not just Network Douche players" Like most people on here I would hope we could do better..... isn't O'Grady just an older version of what we hope Pistol Pete will become this season?
i wouldve been happy giving the youth team from year before last a go - the lot that won everything - with a few first teamers. but since then, most have been released or sold (smith/azeez)
The club have never said we wouldn't get Championship quality players, but those players appear to demand more cash, so the fact that Roley is very keen on keeping us in line with FFP, or possibly just tight, will be a major stumbling block in getting them signed up...
