The reason why so many disliked the BBC forum is because of the mods, and I think it will turn the same way here. I don't know why they are needed, people can say what they like, and if others don't like it, they can ignore it. Chuck the mods out and let's have discussions without no people telling us what we can and can't right.

It's a joke. Get rid of them.

I totally disagree! The mods are here to stop all the threads sliding into anarchy, and without them the site would be a shambles...The mods on this site are very liberal with their attitude, and as a general rule, will only delete comments when they are of a discriminatory nature or threaten violence. The Mags site is different, and will often delete comments when they can't think of a decent come back to remarks made.

How can there be anarchy with speech? People can say what they like and it's up to the rest to listen, you can choose to or choose not to. But some of the stuff the mods delete, people want to read.

Just go with the flow, you dont need people butting in And deleting things.

it only takes one idiot with nothing better to do than spam and hassle other members to bring down entire threads. without someone in a position to stop these, someone with an irritating agenda (in our case, think of a 15 year old mag) could ruin the forum.

Love the mods. Hate the rockers.

But, to be absolutely serious GBSafc4EVA

Without the mods I wouldn't bother coming on here. I like the idea of free speech, I like our opinions. I dont want chaos and anarchy. Just so someone can shout louder? Swear better? Be aggresive to everyone? No. I like this FAMILY feelin. Someone has to be in control. I dont want to be - I want to be stupid within given parameters and I will push those paremeters as best I can without offending anyone I hope. You don't like the rules? Find your own place. DONT SPOIL MY FUN! I love this place.

Anarchy in its literal meaning of disorder, mayhem and chaos can certainly apply to sites such as this. And I for one wouldn't participate on a site which was anarchic by nature.

Much as I loved 606, the problem I had was that the mods were faceless, the best you could do was go and complain on the feedback thread. At least here we know who's who and issues with moderation can be sorted out one on one.

I think the OP that gb fella is probably a closet homo, some bastard who comes from some backward country and should be shiped back there. No doubt he lives off his disability benefit and spends his days at his jewish ****ing church preaching his hatred.

People like him should be kicked to ****.

Yes I do. Because I've lived all around the Uk supporting SAFC and being laughed at for a) bein from hers; b) supporting us and c) coming back. Don't give a stuff. LIke the people on here - usually - kindred spirits.

Course I take it to heart. Its about SAFC.

Having seen the pictures of Bobby Park, isn't your name a bit trade description?

I know what you mean though. Having worked on the darkside for 15 years, this site keeps me sane and assured it's not a black and white world.

The mods on here play a vital role keeping this site as a place where people want to be. When we first came to this site it took a while to get the moderation to the right level. The Man Utd and Liverpool boards were particularly bad. (no offense intended)

Most discussions disintergrated in to people just hurling abuse at each other. It still happens occasionally but the good discussions normally outnumber the bad.

Due to the fact that the mods use a much lighter hand than on 606 the boards tend to be more tribal and less tollerant, but that is a small price to pay for more freedom of speach. It is very difficult to get the balance right and on the whole I think that they do get it right, although RAW, I did think that your Tozer comment was quite witty and did notneed to be removed.
