I'm taking part in this event on Sunday, first time I've done the Hull version.

I note there is parking at Princes Quay free of charge before 9 am but I suspect every man and his dog will head there. Any tips from anyone in the know less busy routes into the city, alternative parking, etc. All help greatfully appreciated. Ta.

You could park near Hull Royal in one of the side streets (free) and walk up Anlaby Road. Ten mins max walking to QG start of JT 10k. It's what we did in 2012.

Good luck. Wish I was doing it again. Great atmosphere, mind the cobbles.

I think you'll be fine in Princess Quay if you get there early enough . I park outside my Brothers house on Victoria Dock, run past it during the race and by the time we've walked back , the race is over and it's clear to drive off.

The park and ride should be running too. Takes you right into the city centre.

Cleveland Street and Witham could be good too, as well as Trippet Street and Charterhouse Lane, Francis St etc. All just a short walk from the start.

I am running the 10K again, I always park on Francis Street Council car park next to Freetown Way the just walk through Charles Street onto Bond Street. Get there early as it does get popular. All council surface car parks are free on a Sunday as well.

    Have a good run.
