Hi all Do any of you play football manager? I kind of get obsessed from time to time. Sometimes I am Norwich but at others I sometimes take a really awful team and try and make then great. Like I made Truro the premiership champions (many years and a few fluke signings). They now have a stadium bigger than the city (yes after about 2030 the game really begins to corrupt). I also manage in random leagues from time to time like Chimney Corner in the Northern Irish second division. I managed to promote them to their prem after a few years, then (as the game begins to corrupt in the 2030s) managed to get them to qualify for the champions league.... however the following year I didn't so lost over 6 million pounds (122% of turnover) so this year it is qualify or go broke/ sell squad. Anybody else as obsessive as me with this? If not the off season is the time to start
Used to play it a fair bit in the Championship Manager days, but sadly I don't tend to get the time in the evenings anymore. Muh.
I suppose that's where when you get a 6 day weekend and a 8 day week you still get the opportunity to play
CF AMC AMC MC MC LWB DCM RWB CB CB GK Tactics, GK distribute short, CB's - Ball playing centre backs DCM - deep lying playmaker - receive ball from defence WB's - push forward - cross more often MC1 - ball winning mid MC 2 - support attack AMC's - roaming - get wide when possible FC - play on shoulder Push up, press, use width, keep ball, more expressive, fluid attack. My football revolution - (or a cheap knockoff of Liverpool)
Used to play when my son was small. He loved a player called Pounewatchy. We turned him into a multi million pound player and Carlisle won the Premiership.
