Really frustrates me this one, we all like to knock him, but to be fair he does put a shift in, think he played well at the end of the season, but then again didn't they all. Anyway three more years of seb

http://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2014/june/larsson-signs-new-deal Swede commits future to Cats. Midfielder Sebastian Larsson has signed a contract extension with the club until 2017. The Swedish international will remain on Wearside for a further three years, having joined the club from Birmingham City in 2011. Speaking about his new deal, Larsson said: âIâm delighted to have signed a new deal with the club. Iâve had talks with Gus and Lee Congerton and I feel that this is a club moving in the right direction and I want to be part of it. âI had a few options but I want to be at Sunderland and Iâm looking forward to the new season.â The 28-year old made 41 appearances for the Black Cats last season, scoring against Southampton in the Capital One Cup and a memorable winner in the 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford in May.
At one point wouldn't have gave him the time of day but towards the end of the season he showed a lot of grit & looked a different player. Hope he can do the same in the coming years, though I think he will be no more than a bit part player as Gus must have other players in mind to come in that can take us forward as a team in the long run.
If he plays like he did at the end of last season that`s great. If he goes back to his polis on point duty routine we can sell him. Sensible bit of business I reckon.
Pleased with this, i agree that the deadwood needs to go, but larsson really stuck out a player with a big role in our revival, I dont want to see a huge overhall in our squad because then the squad is a team anymore, Glad hes staying
Does that surprise anyone else or is it just me ......... I'm just hoping we get 'final 10 matches Seb' and not the human windmill.
This about sums it up for me. Tried for the last handful of games to get a new contract. I only hope the new contract is with a significant reduction in wages to the previous one and an understanding that he will only be a squad man at best. An average player who as a squad we must be looking to improve on.
I like Seb, always have. So happy to see this news Needs to use his performances to the back end of last season as a benchmark
I have to say my opinion of Seb rose sharply when he ran 40 yards to flatten Ramires as he was about to score at Chelsea
Just reiterating what others have said... Let's hope we get the April/May Seb for all of next season. Hopefully he will spend some of the summer practicing his free kicks !!
he's scored a few corkers in the past we need more the above please
What a good point home and away makes, I based my opinion on work rate, I had totally forgot he used to be able to take free kicks. What happened to that, did they change the ball or something, he used to be lethal??
