in all seriousness, you'd have thought they'd have learnt their lesson from last time and have a mix of older experienced players and 'youff' rather than over-paid "World class talent" they've a better chance of staying up than the other two promoted clubs imo, if they get it right
Who's wallowing? Not me, I assure you. I just find you a tedious bore who still harps on about something that happened nearly 40 years ago!
Are you lot as confident as this? http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/264542-Too-good-for-this-League Good luck bouncing back guys!
Personally, no! I don't think there's a great deal of difference between the two sides. The only championship experience our respective managers have between them is from the commentary box, and both squads have issues. With Cardiff I see them as having a few very good players, and a lot of mediocre ones. We've got fewer stand-out players, but the overall quality of our squad is a bit higher. If you'd asked me a few weeks ago I'd have said I trusted our board more than theirs to make sensible decisions to help the club, but recently I'm not so sure!
I'm not even nearly that confident Cardiff will get promoted. As I see it they've signed a series of average players with an average manager and were the poorest of the three relegated teams. There are some good teams in the championship, Wigan and Derby look very good and it's a massively unpredictable league, someone will show up unexpected. With regards to us I haven't a clue and probably won't until we play a game or two, it will depend on the players that leave and those that come in not to mention our untested manager. We don't know what shape we will play or what style. All we've been told is it will be attacking. With the right players and a well expressed set of philosophies and tactics we could be a real force, wrong players and and unclear system and we'll be in trouble. Ultimately it's hard to even guess yet.
It looks a poor Division to me. Are Wigan and Derby really that good. Fulham and Cardiff, along with ourselves are hardly great.
Maybe what I mean is it's a hard league. There are some good teams and every game tends to be a battle.
I think how tough our season in the Championship is will depend on how many players we keep, if we lose players their replacements will be Championship level.
