Some half-wit posted this on the old board but it's actually a good question. Personally I think the 1967 Cuo Final was a better and more significant game than this. Thoughts (from the old timers)?

That's a tough one to chose, both great days at time I was 17 & stricter with drink then, hungover last sat,1967 beyond my dreams winning that match.

I'd have to agree, 1967 was a bigger achievement and a better game. But that was then and this is now.

In the footballing context 1967 was our greatest ever performance, coming from 2-0 down to beat a team two divisions higher in the first Wembley League Cup Final. However, last Saturday's win with 10 men in a match which we couldn't afford to lose may prove to be a catalyst to greater things. The fact it was a last minute winner against all odds makes it just that bit sweeter...

I think '67 got little QPR noticed, but last week was more important simply because of what was riding on the outcome

You'd have to have been there for which was 'better'. And I wasn't at either.

As for more significant, 1967 gave us the impetus for everything which followed - successive promotions, bounce back to the old First Division, all of the Jim Gregory era. But last Saturday runs it close, because of the money, although we would have made it back within a couple of years with these owners.

I was there as a young 19 year old with total confidence. Told my Dad at half time not to worry as we would win 3-2. Never doubted it, now, I didn't think we would beat Derby, funny how you change with age.

If 19 at game is 1954 not the year you were born? Just curious to the significance of the year in name!

As fantastic as 67' was, I totally agree with Stroller. We have to look to the future. When I look around LR I see too many people of my generation (19 in 67'). We need to attract the future R's and to do that we need the exposure a good run in prem will give us. As Sooper says hopefully this will be the catalyst. Still buzzing but haven't watched the replay for at least an hour.

MK Ranger it was my first match watching Rangers, against Colchester in September I think. Then moved away and started watching again in 1960.
