Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Sunderland have been fined £100,000 and warned as to their future conduct after the club admitted breaching The FAâs Football Agents Regulations. In relation to the same matter, Abu Mahfuz has had his Agent licence suspended for two years with six months to be served starting from May 21 2014. The remaining 18 months is to be suspended and will be invoked upon a proven breach of The FAâs Agents Regulations during that period. Mr Mahfuz, who was also fined £500 and warned as to his future conduct, had denied breaching The FAâs Football Agents Regulations, however, the charge was found proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. The above sanctions are subject to any appeal. Read more at http://www.thefa.com/news/governanc...tball-agents-regulations?#jfYKO44ebszlI3Bu.99 Don't overload us with the details!
Aye, him and PDC weren`t the best appointments. Still, if Ellis is going to learn from his mistakes it`s not a bad idea to do it two at a time.
i think the dof should be there to make gus job easier and it looks like its going to go that way. gus should have final say on transfers as he is the one who has to motivate them and work with them day to day. di fanti had total control of the transfers and that is just a joke. to get the most out of a dof you need him and the manager to work hand in hand and have an excellent working relationship. hopefully gus can achieve this with lc
Those seem to be the noises coming out of the SOL and I suspect one of the main assurances with the recent contract negotiations. They appear to be getting on well enough although obviously it`s early days yet. imo it`ll become clearer further into the window.
gus needs top be in control of the development and style of play from the kids up. that way we get youngsters coming through who are well versed in our methods, tactics and style. then can then slip in to the team easier and push on. all the signs are that gus has control and lc is there to back him up, share the load and deal with the contracts side of transfers. could be a good set up as long as gus has final say and nothing is forced on him
My views on the youth/development scene are well documented on this board mate. Not at all happy would be a master understatement. I think the highlight is probably a fair summary.
Looked at the link, and its basically just what Funk has written. Do we actually know what they did wrong to warrant the fine?
it wont help us either. people already think we got away with the ji thing (even though it was complete bullshit). i would rather they were transparant and just told us the crack. no doubt down to di fanti and the group he signed last year. with all those deals going on something was sure to get ****ed up
Shockingly brief article, hence my sarcasm at the end of the OP, really intrigued as to what we've done wrong as well.

The Premier League club admitted their guilt at an FA hearing, but can still appeal against the punishment. A two-year suspension was also imposed on agent Abu Mahfuz, 18 months of which is suspended, for his role in the unspecified rules breach. The FA said in a statement: "Following an independent regulatory commission hearing, Sunderland have been fined £100,000 and warned as to their future conduct after the club admitted breaching the FA's football agents' regulations. "In relation to the same matter, Abu Mahfuz has had his agent licence suspended for two years with six months to be served starting from May 21 2014. "Mr Mahfuz, who was also fined £500 and warned as to his future conduct, had denied breaching the FA's football agents regulations, however, the charge was found proven following an independent regulatory commission hearing. "The above sanctions are subject to any appeal." Mahfuz is listed by the FA on its website as an independent FA licensed agent.
