Im stunned they have left out 19 goal Tevez and included Palacio and Alvarez. Even as an Inter fan I can say the former has been light years ahead of the Palacio this season. And Alvarez? He's f**king ****e - he cant even get anywhere near Inter's midfield in a terrible season. I think they'll regret it. Back to the OP and I think it's a very open tournament. I honestly think home pressure might get to Brazil and we might see a surprise winner.
Id be surprised if Cassano makes the cut and, even if he does, it'll only be to provide tournament experience. The rest of the strikers are either a) very inexperienced at tournaments or b) in the case of Rossi, just comng back from injury. Now Ranocchia, he is ****e. I wouldnt have him in the Inter side.
Sylvain Distin ‏@sylvaind15tin I m retiring from France team. It was a wonderful experience and after a record of #0 caps it's time to say goodbye and focus on my club
Sylvain Distin - the Steve Bruce of the French national team? How the hell did he never even get 1 cap? He has always been a great defender.
BBC Sport @BBCSport Southampton's Dejan Lovren and Hull's Nikica Jelavic have been named in Croatia's provisional 30-man World Cup squad bbc.in/1jfBcjb
Watch out for Matteo Kovacic for them, he's been absolutely sparkling for the past 3 months and is hitting form just at the right time. He looks like a massive star of the future.
Yep. Signed for £11m as a teenager and he really struggled at first but has been electric for about 3 months. I thought Kevin Kilbane was going to actually cream his kegs when talking about his assists vs Lazio on Sunday. The first was good but the 2nd was exceptional. A 4 horse race according to the bookies. Take your pick from Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Spain. As outsiders Belgium seem pretty decent on paper at 20/1.
A Hull city supporter and England supporter will always root for either, But would go for the Dutch to go the distance if not us, they are due one
Spain can afford to leave Negredo and Navas at home. Nice position to be in. They even get to take a passenger in Torres, too.
If only Huddlestone had licence to move forwards, he can slot a pass like that. I hope Brucey bites the bullet, has the balls to only play one of his overpriced front men at a time, buys a quality middle man and gives Huddlestone licence to roam round and do his thang.
As long as France (Evra and Sagna, 2 of the 3 French players I have a hatred for - Nasri being the third) and Portugal (Ronaldo "look at my body, as I pose topless on the pitch once again") get knocked out asap then I will be happy. I will be putting a cheeky £1 on Argentina to win.
As much as I despise Evra, Nasri and Ronaldo - three of the biggest pricks on the planet - I've never noticed any reason to hate Sagna.
