There is a lot of talk about players we have on contract and players who we don't. I have not seen any one talk about this guy much. He seem to do well at Seville. I did not really see him play, would any who saw him play for them. think he would be worth taking back
Depends on whether he wants to play for us I'm guessing. After La Liga and the Europa League, little old Loftus Road might not have much appeal. Plus if the wages are too high we don't want the dressing room issues to reappear.
I thought that his contract was up at the end of the month and so he is a free agent. Probably wrong ... I have lost track with all the comings and goings in the last couple of years.
You are perfectly right Eamon, but there seem to be rumours of a possible extension within the contract. As to whose control it is under and why they should activate it, no one seems to know.
Hopefully we will see the retained list at some point and the situation will become clear regarding expired contracts - it was supposedly lodged with the league last Wednesday, not sure why it hasn't been made public yet - unless they are sick of fans overreacting...
Mbia did crack me up with his dramtics, just a bit of a rubbish football layer!. No pace, strength, control and how many goals did he score for us?. Can Granero,Mbia and friggin Taio Taiwo please bugger off!. Now then, breakfast time..
I thought he was very disappointing during his time with us. He was one of the clumsiest players I can recall playing for the Hoops. He couldn't pass to save his life and his play acting was just plain embarrassing. Pretty dim too: I remember him committing a totally unnecessary foul on the edge of the area which cost us a game (against Wigan at Loftus Road). Occasionally, just occasionally, he gave a passable impression of a decent footballer but it was all too rare and we've seen enough of him to know what he's capable of and what he's not capable of. Also, always a red card waiting to happen.
Can't see us offering the same money and likewise, can't see him wanting to commit to us on much less coin. I can only assume he was on crazy money so as stated, probably fair to say we pass on him.
from his wiki page: "Queens Park Rangers On 24 January 2012, Queens Park Rangers secured the signing of Taiwo from AC Milan on a loan deal until the end of the season, with the option to buy for a fee of around £3.5 million.[10] After making a move to QPR, Taiwo says he's expecting to make an impact at the club, rather than sitting on the bench.[11] He made his debut on 1 February against Aston Villa in Birmingham, which ended 2–2. After making two appearance at Queens Park Rangers so far, Taiwo made allegations that he would stay in QPR.[12] He scored his first goal for QPR through a fantastic executed curling effort from a free kick 27 yards out in a 3–1 defeat against Sunderland on 24 March 2012.[13] Dynamo Kyiv On 31 July 2012, Taiwo joined Dynamo Kyiv on a one-year loan deal with the option of making the move permanent at the end of the season. Bursaspor On 5 July 2013, Taiwo signed a three year deal with Turkish side Bursaspor
I don't want to be pedantic here Finn because this is all pretty meaningless but he was only out on loan to Kiev according to that, then was released by QPR in July of last year. Pity because I thought he wasn't a bad player.
he was on loan to us from Milan and returned there in 2012, went on loan from Milan to Kiev and was released from Milan in 2013. We didn't use the option to buy him in 2012.
I like the way euro cup winners aren't good enough for us now. He's good enough to be part of the squad, extend him if the wages are decent. Replace him if they are 50k plus.
