Ffs just build a f*cking bridge. Who gives a flying one if it's the tallest structure. The function is to get cars across the river not have some giant effing unicorn type horns pointing to the sky.
Boro have some really ugly bridges but they do what they are intended for.

On another note it probably would be a good idea to vote the labour council out for a term or two to give them a kick up the arse. Completely complacent cos they know they will be in power.
Vaux 15 years for a road and a grassy area now. The Holmeside triangle, sweet f*ck all. The iconic bridge scrapped. The list goes on and on and basically they have promised loads and delivered absolutely sweet FA.

`The council said the images are intended to give an impression of what form the structure would take, and did not necessarily reflect how it would actually look.`

So they show us a picture of what it isn`t going to look like?

    Good grief. <doh>

We'll probably end up with some Indiana Jones temple of doom style rope bridge.

Why does the council need planning permission when it is the council that grants planning permission?

****ing idiots. Might ask myself if I can get myself a can out the fridge? I can't? You bastard. **** you....

For what it's worth, a massive cross river catapult would be ****ing mint, and unique.
