Liverpool agree £9m bid for Rickie Lambert

Seeing Rickie this happy at moving away from us totally breaks my heart.

 

I don't think he's happy to be leaving us, as such. He's just crowned his whole career with the final piece of the jigsaw.

 

I'm sure Rickie will say something nice about us as well.

I want a long, bloody beautiful monologue from him when he leaves or i will be pretty angry

 

With individual letters to all fans with ink running from where he wept as he wrote them.

 

Oh god yea thats a nice touch, i think we can all agree that's the least we deserve

 

He implied as much .Monday he will become a Liverpool player , and he will say goodbye to us in a respectful and dignified manner .

 

He was the player i would have put money on to still be here come the new season.on one hand i am sad that he is off. On the other hand im kinda chuffed for him. He has served us well.

 

Liverpool playing dirty? They can **** right off.

I don't liek the way he completely shrugged off the comment about 2 saints players joining him.. It's almost like he knows 2 more are Going to join!

Don't blame him for being evidently gleeful. If I'd just signed for Southampton i'd be doing cartwheels while being interviewed.

 

He obviously doesn't feel great about leaving saints, but can't turn down this offer. Will be weird thinking of him playing for another team.

On the bright side I won 75 quid on the froch groves fight- cracking match.

I posted way back on page 5. Was gutted then and more so now. Then i had a little bit of hope that it was all a big lie. So sad to see Rickie leave. Not since Shearer leaving have i been so upset over a saints player leaving the club, although Blackburn did wait 'till after Euro '92 before snatching him. Unlike Liverpool.

Now i am happy for him, because it's his team. And in an alternate reality where i was a pro footballer, i would only ever care about playing for saints. Anyone else would just be a paycheck. I'm sure Rickie didn't think that of us, because i'm not as nice as him.

All i can hope is that Liverpool are not just using him to get to Lovren and more obviously Lallana. Because if they do that and he ends up spending the rest of his time there sitting on the bench. hardly involved i will be pissed off. That would ruin his dream and take the piss out of us. Actually i don't really think that, because i'm sure Rodgers, actually wanting Lambert or not, will use him. He will know just what a top player he is.

Anyway, i just hope no more go. We seriously need a new manager in asap!

 

Remember that he scored on his debut and scored on his last match for us, that's pretty special.
