Markus dying was definitely a big shock, but was cleared up relatively quickly in terms of how we were to proceed. Adkinsgate was a massive shock, but again it was clear very quickly that Mauricio was no mug. The "Great Summer Meltdown of 2014" on the other hand is scaring the absolute crap out of me, we have no obvious direction, clueless leaders and seem to be losing that core of players that were with us throughout our rise and create that spirit that is so evident on the pitch. The worst thing is that it has barely begun!
We've only lost one player so far. And our manager. And, seemingly, our collective bottle. No need to abandon all hope just yet, not while Krueger is still talking about Europe (maybe he's planning to cycle there).
@bigadamsport is that a massive generalisation or have u spoken to all of them? I find these words oddly comforting. Right now LeTiss is talking a lot of sense.
So, is Les Reed, palming the players off (sounds rude, and some on here are alleging that he IS a ****er), by just sending them away without speaking to them, or is he telling them that he will speak to them once a new manager is appointed? In which case things are being taken out of context?
I've been trying to be so positive, but I'm struggling to keep it up. From what I can see, Kruger is the non-football side of things, and Reed is the football side of things. So why isn't Reed getting more flak from everyone? If he's the one who should be communicating with the players, dealing with contracts etc, he should be getting the stick, not Kruger. Just how I see it.
Because Krueger is the one they put out in front of the press because he's generally pretty good at public speaking and giving a politician's answers.
The ability to say a lot of words is not my definition of good public speaking...need content as well.
Then he shouldn't be. There's obviously miscommunication between Reed & Krueger. Reed is just looking for a fall-guy. Reed is the guy making the decisions.
I wonder whether they have weekly board meetings and discuss a Agenda of things they are doing and yet to do., It's something so simple but It seems zero communication is going on!!
Lambert should be pretty chuffed with the board, having vetoed his sale in january. Would West Ham have sold him on for £4m?
Well, for what it is worth - I believe a number of items are disingenuously coming out in the press from various sources. This is no coincidence. Someone is trying to manufacture the sale of the club and doing it by means of disturbance from within (i.e. upsetting the players) and externally (upsetting the fans). For me - this is what all this is about...being sold/brought. I think we need to becareful what we wish for and who we blame. Currently, we have snippets of info from people being used as mouthpieces and that can be dangerous to the unknown.
