    1) After last weeks UKIP smashing of the other 3 main parties, I notice that none of them accept what has happened. Indeed the twat Liberals just say that they need to argue their corner better because they are right and everyone else is wrong. Idiots, it has nothing to do with racism, its all about not having enough housing, enough schools, enough hospitals and it takes me 2-weeks to get a doctors appointment. Not racist, just frustrated and sick to death of politicians telling me immigration is great...... I dont think so because we have no room left to build houses, which means that rents and house prices rise.

    2) Has anyone wondered what will happen at next years election if the SNP win the vote to break away? The jock labour MP's will not be able to stand will they because they will be from a foreign country. This means that Cameron's cunning plan will work because labour cannot win without Scottish labour MP's.

    3) If Alex Salmond loses the vote, well that should mean that the SNP need to disband because it will be another 300-years before another vote, which makes them pointless doesn't it? Whats the point in voting SNP when you will never get it

Will be interesting if it is a hung parliament and UKIP win a few seats, enough that either Labour or Conservative have to form an alliance.

Regarding immigration, I think it's important to see it both sides - there's plenty of English people who have moved to a foreign country and started a life there (albeit probably not in as many numbers), so we can't really stop it from occurring. Also worth pointing out that a fair few of the immigrants are refugees fleeing war-torn countries, and they're not interested in stealing our houses, jobs or benefits, or whatever anti-immigration propaganda UKIP are intent on force-feeding us.

I don't really follow politics that intently, but it does shock me how so many people are anti-immigration, without realising it works both ways.

Kiwi the problem is that because there are no restrictions within Europe, there's an imbalance. New EU countries which have low wages move to places with higher wages. Labour allowed 5 million in, and where have they gone because they all need houses, schools, hospitals, doctors ..... So why were no new facilities built as part of this masterplan? Would you relocate to Bulgaria or Poland? no because the wages are gash, so obviously the opposite happens and we have no room. Why should we have to build the equivalent of a city the size of Manchester every year to accommodate them. We have no room and the bit of green belt we have we need to keep thanks

I often laugh at the slant most people take on immigration. Are these people coming in and taking our highly skilled, highly paid jobs? Nope. Usually they're working in shops, hotels, pubs, factories etc. - and working bloody hard too. Does the unemployment queue grow wildly because of this? Nope, it's been shrinking back! So what's happening? My take is that these people are doing the jobs that most of our unemployed don't want to do - mainly because they're getting cushy benefits and can't be bothered getting off their fat arses.

The bottom line is that in the present day we can't do without these immigrants! (I've been talking about mmigrants from within the EU, btw).

Jock so what about hospitals, schools, dentists, doctors, housing which was always tight prior to the influx. No problem with those who work, my argument is about the nuts and bolts of society being battered. That is unless you live in an area where you have enough schools, doctors see you when you want etc

Jock surely the answer must be to not pay benefits to our bone idle so they're forced to take low paid jobs, or just pay them in vouchers for food etc. They shouldn't be comfortable on benefits, it should be just enough for essentials. No wonder they don't want to work, they get enough on benefits to have two or three holidays a year, fund a twenty a day habit, go out and get hammered two or three times a week. Lazy bastards. Then we wouldn't need immigrants doing the low paid jobs, our bone idle would be forced to do them, and the knock on effect would be beneficial to schools, hospitals, housing, the transport system etc.

England's the size of Florida, it's not big enough for 60 million people. It's too crowded.

Not quite sure where you're coming from with this one, Doc. Are you saying that these tax-paying immigrants (and should we really use that word if they're fellow Europeans?) are in some way responsible for the infrastructure stresses you mentioned? Perhaps you should address that question to those Brits that REFUSE to work?

You would think so, wouldn't you? And yet this has gone on for decades through many flavours of Government. I wish I had the answers!

UKIP's success on no real surprise. In tough times any party that comes along offering an easy target and an easy solution will gain popularity. Shame so many can't see Farage for the carnival act he is.
