ENGLAND XI VS PERU — Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Baines; Gerrard, Henderson; Lallana, Rooney, Welbeck; Sturridge.

 

I'd take Welbeck out and put Sterling in.

Welbeck is a midtable player at best.

 

Henderson and Johnson are not good enough. Only deluded scouse ********* rate these two.

 

Johnson is ****, but England aren't blessed with RB's currently.

Anyone that thinks Henderson is ****, doesn't watch much football. Last season he was very much the heartbeat of the Liverpool midfield. An unsung hero - works his socks off without being all fancy pants, a good solid grafter that'll give you 100% every game.

 

He's good at smothering the opposition il give him that, not sure he's technically as gifted as Wilshere on the ball though. It depends who we play though, against Costa Rica we should maybe play Wilshere as well have a lot more of the ball, but against the better teams Hendersons energy could be important, as he won't give them time on the ball. It's a tough call between the two though. Even Lampard could come into the reckoning in the World Cup

 

I'd agree with that - similar with Millner in terms of not really catching the eye. You need players like that but as you say they rarely get the plaudits.
