http://www.mercato365.com/etranger/angleterre/qpr-interet-pour-b-gomis-1136214.shtml Crappy translation: "Out of contract at Lyon, the French international striker Bafé Gomis (28) does not leave insensitive Queens Park Rangers. Especially looking for a reinforcement of weight at the forefront, the club managed by Harry Redknapp monitors the Habs (note: Didier Drogba is also on the short-list). The track is active but promoted is faced with significant competition. Premier League West Ham is also on the move. Same for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. And former Stéphanois can also count on the practical relevance of the Turkish formations (Galatasaray and Besiktas)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bafétimbi_Gomis I don't know anything about him, but the guy who's reporting this on twitter seems really excited
He's an expat rangers fan living in france, who trawls all their media for QPR news. A great guy to follow during transfer windows, picked up on Remy before anyone else: https://twitter.com/ByrneBarry
Not for anywhere near 100k a week thanks! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...astles-bafetimbi-gomis-transfer-chase-3584301
"Harry Redknapp monitors the Habs" He's even signing ice hockey players now! He's a mercenary and stroppy too, all French players are. DT will explode with delight if we sign him. Edit, just read his club has agreed a fee with a number of clubs but he won't move because he wants stupid wages. Steer well clear.
I'm glad you've gone back to the Flyers pic, Flyer! Now, if you can take Bartons name off your sig...!
This one could run and run. Who was that French geezer we didn't sign in January who generated 8 pages of speculation and then turned out to be Swiss Tony's keep fit instructor?
When I read that five Premier League clubs were after him I reckoned we were one of them. Think he has already turned downed Newcastle three times during recent transfer windows. They would go mental if he signed for us. Which would be reason good enough to sign him Good player, huge lad and can be as tough to play against as Drogba. But agree with Flyer, could be difficult to manage. And if money is his main agenda then we should steer well clear. Though if a chance arise and we could sign him I think it would be very foolish to turn it down, he is the type who could really make a difference imo.
