Lambert is 32, I'd be surprised if he could walk up the stairs at Melwood to sign the contract in Brendan's office let alone be able to handle the pace of the first team. Avoid. Please.
To damn ****ing right. Let this be a warning to LFC haters. I have special diseases for people like you. And I can make your club sign Bobby Zamora.
4-5mil and he's worth getting in, he's a Liverpool fan and would be more than happy playing 3rd fiddle sitting on the bench. It'll give us an option if we need to change tactics and get a last gasp goal. Good business for that money, anything more than that and it's a big NO NO.
You'd swear we cut the f'rs hand off or something Back to riding your sister and the the football to those of us who care
I like that idea of signing Lovren, Lallana & Lambert for a combined fee with Lovren's value dramatically increased compared to Lallana & Lambert's in order for Saints to avoid having to pay massive sell on fees. If Saints are going to sell Lallana (and they probably don't want to) it makes sense to sell him with another player in order for them to be able to do that. I wonder if we could get Lallana to sign his contract first with a "transfer fee" agreed at like £2m and then rip up the other contract for Lovren with the transfer fee at £20m before he has a chance to sign so we don't have to go through with is and can get Lallana for cheap
No idea, but it would be sneaky and as I say, if Saints are resigned to losing Lallana, instead of paying 25% of £25m for him, they sell him for the same or less than they paid for him therefor paying nothing to Bournemouth and pocket all the money from Lovren. Would make no difference to us how the value is spread out .
I think the realms of fantasy have arrived with this stuff let alone kingslayer and his cowardly ways....
BBC have said we are stilll in talks for Lovren & Lallana, so I assume there is interest in all three. I don't think we'll sign them for a combined fee though as it could confuse with Lallana's sell on clause etc.
Michael Stafford @SportStafford · 31m Seems the deal as I said Before, Rickie Lambert 9m, Lovren 20m, Lallana 2m (so bournemouth don't get the cut) Great marketing from #LFC. Interesting!!!! But also very unlikely
All 3 would be useful for u though. Lovren would definitely be a good signing for us and add real competition/improvement on Skrtel. Lallana would add a lot to our midfield and attack although I still think there is better value for money, he does seem he would fit in. The more I think about Lambert the more I think he could be very useful 3rd option. He's totally different to what we have at the moment. He can hold up play, something our current forwards aren't as good at. He's very good in the air, again something we lack and his lick up play is very good. Also is a beast at pens for when Stevie is rested! He'll probably be "happy" to play 2nd fiddle to SAS (or should that be 3rd). He's moving into the twilight of his career and may never get a chance to move to his boyhood team ever again so reckon he'd jump at the chance (especially with CL football) and wages wouldn't be ridiculously high. In terms of price, I'd be happy to pay £15m for Lallana, £6m for Lambert and £10m-£15m for Lovren so anything around £30-£35m for 3 players in areas we are struggling in wouldn't be terrible. Add in £15m for Moreno and then £5m for Vorm That'd be the £60m and then if we get rid of a few players, maybe another CM or RB to compete.
So let's just tot up how many saints are now moving Lovern Schneiderlin Lallana Shaw Clyne Wanyama Lambert Fonte Ramirez Anyone else? I've read stuff on all of these.... Once the manager went things are just going mad in the press
Can't see this at all even if we were buying all three. There are valuation panels and allsorts and there would definately be an objection from Bournemouth. Not to mention it may fall into the realms of fraud, and the fact that we have spent the last three years defining how we want to do business in an above board way.
