    So we rejected a bid from West Ham in the winter for Lambert. We rejected a bid from Man U for Shaw. We rejected a bid from Liverpool for Lallana.

    We are open to moving Lambert to Liverpool because we could use the money for another striker, and because that would probably be a dream move for Lambert and he's done so much for the club and doesn't have that many years left and may not be in the starting XI for either team.

    That doesn't sound like asset-stripping to me.

    Stunned if this happens, which looks like it probably will.
    The media have stated we're a club in meltdown, which I took with a pinch of salt.
    But now this pre-season has all the hallmarks of being a complete nightmare, never ever expected Rickie to be part of the exodus.
    Inevitable now there will be others leaving, would love to know what our board's strategy is???
    Hardly going to attract a top manager when all the family jewels have been pawned off.
