Hope this is just paper talk but it has been stated in the metro news that Ash has refused a new contract and Arsenal are offering 3M for his services

Ash is worth more than £3m. He is a key player for us so i cant see us letting him go anywhere for that. I think ash is trying to squeeze more money out of the club and i knew that would start to happen the minute we started to pay bony a lot more than the rest of the players....Its human nature the rest will want more and depending if they are wanted by other clubs then they have a right to ask for a wage increase...It's the clubs fault for breaking the wage policy....

I think he really wants to stay if you read his comments in the media. i just think he is haggling for more money that's all and i don't blame him for that and we will probably will pay him more in the end and he will sign a further two year contract,

Breaking the wage policy really just means that we needed a new policy. We are playing with the big boys these days - we can't keep paying Championship wages and hope to complete can we ?

Totally agree stereo this is why in my opinion it has been business suicide not to have started work on the stadium expansion.

How can you start an extension on a building that is not owned by you...It will be like me putting an extra bedroom in my next door neighbors house without permission...<laugh> You have to have planning permission and time for any objections from local business and locals in the area. there were to many against the planned extension and the reasons were obvious and correct. As soon as these issues are overcome then we can probably go ahead but that will take time and the Conservative estimation is in about 3 years time but could take a lot longer...

I'm probably in a minority here but I think we should play hard ball with Ash. Always got a rick in him and there's some very goood players either already here or out there that'll be cheaper - only my opinion. I'm all for offering him a decent contract but not the earth.

It's nothing more than greed but the club is at fault for breaking the wage policy. i dont blame ash one bit but i think he knows that at arsenal he will not be captain and will be a bench warmer....we should offer him a bit of a rise and i think he will be happy with that...

I am appreciative of Williams and think he is a great player but he brings baggage every summer it seems . If he even tries to cause any stress this summer whether he is staying or going , sell him on and go shopping imo

If he's got itchy feet then let him go. Somebody new, eager and up for it wouldn't be a bad idea. The defence needs sorting out anyway.
