Kane - but he would still be too expensive.

I really hope we don't go down the route of 'experienced' and expensive old timers - they have nothing left to prove and threaten upsetting the new dressing room harmony.

As others have said before, I think we need young(ish), hungry talent who are looking to prove themselves and will grow with us as a club. We have fantastic experience in the club already, let's not blow it this time like we did last time.

Fernandes said at Loftus Road yesterday that being in the Championship made 'them' (hope Harry is included in this) that there are good players in the Championship and that's where the focus will be for new players.

Let's hope the paper talk of Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand is just lazy journalism.

Sorry, missed out Fat Frank. Whilst I feel he is still a very good player, he will want stupid money and will show that TF has learnt nothing.

I would take Rio for a season if he's fit. After that, I'd want younger keen players.

Purely as a player yes, but I think it sends out the wrong message again and he's hardly going to come on the cheap. Press will have a field day and speculate he's on a zillion pound a week like they did with Samba.

I have had it with the 32 year old + players on their last contract with nothing to prove.

Are you going to run this all through the run and to and during the transfer window Sooper? If so, huge respect, I tried it a couple of seasons ago and its a rod for your own back. Set a couple of ground rules - only include players we have been linked with, with some evidence/source even if its obviously garbage, not just players various posters like.

Read in the Times this morning - Scott Parker.

The fail has us in for Parker and Joe Cole.

Parker is a shocking player, his legs have totally gone. Cole hasn't been a decent player for at least 3 years.

Basically we are linked with every 32+ yo that's lost it and PL teams want to dump because they are still on massive wages.

So far, that accounts for about 80% of players named here.

Who's linked us to dzeko? Also ****e sites like football direct don't count, its just spam.

Honestly I wouldn't mind Barry on a pay per play deal but not really most of them.

Edin Dzeko <laugh> Just felt a bit of wee come out as I was laughing so hard. Gotta love British media, if for nothing else than sheer idiocracy.

It had to be a blog, no reasonable publication would print that.

A player I think we should we look to sign if available and I think would do a terrific job for us is Norwich Citys Wes Hoolihan. Hes been out of favour recently with defensive minded managers Hughton and Adams at Norwich and I believe he wants a transfer. Hes a creative midfielder plays for the Republic of Ireland and would be the ideal central midfielder with Joey Barton. Hes played nearly 200 games for the Canaries and has only just gone 32 and is still very highly rated by the Norwich fans still. He reminds me so much of Martin Rowlands and when ever ive seen him has impressed. We would pick him up at a snip compared to Frank Lampard.
