Going to be loads of threads today so why don't we save the Mods some finger work and do all about yesterday in 1 thread? I have a question Does anyone know if Robina Ranger got to the game? "tiredness" looked as though it was getting the upper hand was I last saw him. Hope you made it fella.
He got his ticket from me. Had a few drinks with him, really nice fella, then disappeared just before I set off. Hope he made it after such a journey.
One hell of a trip, had a few drinks with him as well, as did most of us...... Well done for fixing him up RRR's.
Met him at Hennesys, a nice fella , but looked absolutely buggered on his feet as he wandered around looking for rrrrs and his ticket. Hope he made it to Wembley as it an awful long way to come for a beer !!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the concern lads and glad to say I made the game but bloody hell those drinks when straight to my head due to lack of sleep and travelling , was on auto pilot by the end and got to my parents about 1030pm having slept on train all the way. What a day , adrenalin kept me going in the end and worth every dollar of my airfare , couldn't of wished for a better day . Great bunch of lads and thanks rrrrrs once again for sorting my ticket, top bloke. Now off to the pub to keep the celebrations going !!!!! Bobby Zaaammmorra
Good on yeh mate, it was a pleasure. next time your in town & you fancy going to a game give me a shout.
Glad to hear that, you looked on autopilot at 1pm mate and I'd hoped the jet lag stayed off for another four hours for you
Good to meet you Robina, thought it was hilarious that someone thought you were a girl and hadn't heard of Robina, the suburb. Great golf course there btw. Glad you made it through to the end. See you in Melbourne sometime for the "Hoops Down Under" gatherings - there will be many more next season. Safe travels back mate.
You to mate. Yeh have been known to hack my way around one or two of the courses . Will have to get one or two of the QLD Rangers to make the trip down with me .
I can confirm that Robina was still going strong after the match. I bumped into him as I was walking back to Wembley Central. Like the rest of us, he was buzzing after Zamora's late winner and said that it was worth every dollar to be there for that day. Well done to him and everyone else who flew in from the other side of the world, you have my utmost respect.
That's a relief, good to hear no dramas taking place. Oddly Found myself surrounded by Derby Fans on the way back to Wembley Park, sat with a couple of their skinheads on the tube. Great Bunch of lads, even in defeat. Asked us if it felt like a home game, which in an odd way it did. They'd had a run in with plod before the game and were a bit sore, wanted to suggest getting a blue Mohawk instead of the tasteful razored look, but thought better of it in the end. Dignified in victory and all that type of thing.
Respect to Robina and all our out posted fans that made the trip. I met a lad who use to sit next to me and the boys in R block now lives in New York it was fantastic seeing him again, said it has cost him a fortune but worth every dollar.
Nice to have crossed paths withe you robina. Glad to hear you made it there OK. Total respect to have made the journey. Glad it was a good result with the effort you must have put in.
Good to meet you and with all the other 606 ers , the result was the icing on the cake . I would do it all again without a doubt and meeting up with you all reaffirmed my belief that we really are the original 'family ' club. Hopefully , I can meet up with you all some time next season maybe.
