Does anyone use Linkedin as a marketing tool? I am struggling to see how best to use it. Any help would be appreciated.
i just get a stream of recruitment agencies sending me messages!! if your CV is decent, it's worth putting it up there
Im more interested in using it for my business. I use email newsletter's already. I thought I would put some articles on it.
I seem to be connected to loads of people I barely know, I only ever really go on there if someone wants to link, I didn't even know people put articles up on there. It's like Facebook, but without the funny stuff and without friends that you're actually friends with.
We had to make a LinkedIn to 'enhance our profile' at uni. Apparently it's good if you're looking for a job because business' are using the internet to search down applicants and will more than likely look at your LinkedIn than Facebook. Idk, it's a load of **** if you ask me
Here in Oz it's used for by recruiters to get you on their books or to get you to apply for roles so they get some commission. I used to get loads of "interest" for vacancies that just fit what I have to offer, but after a few times you realise what they are doing. Like OLM I didn't realise there was articles on there to read, not that I will be straight on there to read any......
I find it good for finding potential recruits, keeping an eye on competitor activity and gaining insight on people I about to meet that I don't know. Having said that, I'm a LinkedIn whore and will connect to anyone!
I get loads of articles from the groups that I am a member of, but for the life of me I cannot see how to post one up.
