...Are the reason I'm so glad I support a real club like the R's and not one of the usual suspects that attract the plastics. Money couldn't buy what it felt like when Zamora's shot hit the net. We were like a gnarled old prizefighter that had been outboxed for all twelve rounds by the younger slicker fighter but then found the haymaker to knock his tormentor spark out right at the end. We don't have too many days like today and that makes them all the more special. Proud to be a hoop...

Words fail me in describing that moment their net bulged.

Joy, relief, disbelief, extasy, tears. I went through them all. But as Sooperhoop says, it makes me so proud to be an R. I looked around me at 40,000 blue and white flags and I was in awe, totally and absolutely lost for words. Our club is a REAL football club, a community of like minded people who dont follow the hords in supporting a so called fashionable club. No we support our wonderfull club because it is what it is. A small, local, club which commands absolute loyalty from its own.

In Hennesseys before the game there were people from all over the world for gods sake. They travelled far and wide to be with us in our moment of destiny today. And they deserved their moment today as much as those of us who went home and away this season, because each and evey one of us forms an important part of the whole.

I salute all of you. We are QPR and We are premier league.

It was brilliant to meet the likes of shefford, wandle, risingsunhoop, tramore, melburnian and the others who I have had the pleasure to meet before. Apologies if I missed your name off the list - it was a pleasure to speak to you all!

Brilliantly organised pub meet-up. And I am so proud to be a QPR fan, and delighted for those who travelled from as far away as australia that their journey was worth it.

    Worth every $

Great to meet so many of you and shame I didn't meet all of you on here. Massive thanks to Staines, SQPR, Queens and westlondonlalala for sorting out the ticket situation. My mate Philip got to sit a few seats from his son, SingQPR and his son got theirs last night and my best mate from Bristol got 2 tix off west at 10am and drove up for it with his son. He's not QPR but has come to many of our matches when I've been back over the last 18 years.

All loved the day from the journey to hennesseys, to Wembley, the singing, flag waving, groaning, cheering. The tension and elation of the 5 extra minutes after the goal. I was in 111 directly behind the goal, had a great angle for the goal. I stood next to Sam and Lorna who cried unashamedly at the final whistle.

SingQPR jumped into my arms outside gate F while we were waiting for everyone travelling back to Bucks. Bumped into Queens there too, he was off to do some damage to his liver - in fine spirits he was. Who wouldn't be? Several posters have summed up what it's like to support a real team like ours. It is my only regret about living in Australia, not seeing enough of the team I started following in the 70s when I saw them on the Big Match...

The landlord at The Royal Standard in Beaconsfield gets a mention - a Villa supporter, he was genuinely pleased to see us coming back to the Prem, he shouted a round for all of us and had a good chat with us about the match. Every car that beeped us as we walked from the pub to Philip's house, waving our flags like kids and singing "we are QPR" and "o bobby Zamora" all the way to the front door.

Sorry to ramble, it's been a great trip, woke up at 5am again, and still revelling in everything about yesterday. Thank you all for you part in it.

I leave the south in about an hour to head back to my parents in NWales, and start my journey back to Aus tomorrow afternoon. WORTH EVERY $!!!!

    See you next time not606ers.

Spot on, we never do things the easy way and yesterday was just another example. For me the best part of the day were the supporters, nothing like leaving a stadium with 40k best mates awesome day.

There are many fantastic posts on this thread.

My day was chaotic and went by so fast. I had to queue at Wembley box office for an hour to collect the tickets which meant I got to Hennessys later than I hoped. Finally, made it to Hennessys and sorted everybody out who were waiting for tickets from me I tried to say hello to as many people as possible. I seen a few people I recognised but never got the chance to say hello, sooper and sussex for example and probably a few more. The walk down Wembley Way was fantastic for photos. I met so many people I knew, Got into the stadium and was sitting 3 seats from Col and his 2 lads. Met Roller, Col and Norway at half time and had a brief chat about the game.

After the sending off, we sat there and got more worried by the minute but I thought we were set up very solidly and I honestly didn't think Derby were going to score. As the clock ticked closer to 90 minutes, I said to my brother, this is the time to deliver a sucker punch. He said, who is going to deliver the sucker punch. I said, Hoilett is going to set up the chance and Zamora is going to score it. Within 2 minutes, exactly that happened. All hell broke loose in the stands. Myself and Col jumping around like mad men hugging everybody. Col knocked over some old man who was sitting between us. AT the end, there were some grown men very close to tears with the joy of it all.

I got home at 10.30 last night. Shattered but a very happy and proud R. As the song says, oh what a perfect day. I will never forget it. Kilburn, my lucky charm worked again for the 15th time this season!!!

What a day to remember, couldnt go to the game due to a car accident so had to settle for a trip to the pub. The pub was showing the game but also rugby so being in the old town of Hastings was only 8 of us watching QPR and the rest the rugby. When that goal went in it was the biggest cheer of the day and even the rugby lads started to cheer. I forgot about my pain and jumped around with my two daughters in pure joy. Walking back home they sang out there hearts and gave some lads stick about coming to get them next season (they are only 8 and 11). Today I ache all over but still buzzing.

best day of my life. in the crown and sceptre til 1am. i had just got back up to within view of the pitch after going for a slash and we scored totally out of the blue. i just didn't know what to do with myself so I actually ended up just rolling around on the floor.

while i understand that derby were definitely the better side they never really put us to the sword and even though green had to make a few saves he did so comfortably IMO. haven't watched the match again but i thought austins fluff from 12 yards was probably the best chance of the game. Read the Guardian report this morning and it completely glossed over that simply when you have 11 men against 10 it's down to you to unlock the defence and really put pressure on the opposing keeper - Derby just didn't do that for me despite all their possession and good footy.
