Feel really sorry for him. His team played really well but once they had gone down to 10 men DQPR just parked the bus and to be fair defended as though their lives depended on it. One attack and one mistake and it was curtains.
I had the pleasure of getting to know him during his Hull City days, he lived in a small terraced house in the Dukeries, ( none of that poncy Swanland nonsense in them days)and he would always make time to come and chat to us lads knocking about on the street corners, a proper nice guy, and a hell of a footballer too. I wish him well.
before that he "lodged" in a bedroom down gorton road in willerby .. heard a few bits from then .. agree though , they should have won and wish him well
It's widely accepted in football circles that the only reason DQPR actually made the play-offs was cos of their early season form when Mclaren was there. They've steadily got worse and had bottom half form of late. Bit ironic they then beat his side. Shame, I've wanted him here every manger since Taylor left.
He took the defeat very well like a true gentleman. Just hope Derby gets promoted next year and Harry's overpaid mob get relegated back where they belong.
Me too but i wonder what the stats are on that. Anyone know if the losing play off team go on to get promotion the following season. Watford didnt last season. Bristol went **** after we beat them, any others.
