Hooper, he'll be great in the championship, Tettey is staying as well, Hoolahan will be great and if Adams plans on playing attacking football it's going to be goals galore!
Well, NA seems to disagree with your view of Hooper, and Hoolahan has reiterated his intention to leave.
Hooper won't be here and if he does there is not much a I have seen to say he will be a success. If he does though it proves that it is his level and we should have bought someone else last season. Hoolahan has been a good servant ( if one of the most frustrating at times player) to us but we all need to move on from him. Is he really the best we can have in that position? Stop looking through yellow and green specs based on league 1 performances. We have to move on and improve from Hoolahan, Holt, Lambert...etc for crying out loud! The facts are clear stat wise that there is a 1 in 4 chance of coming back up. Adams has one shot at for me. Yes will get behind him and the team at the start of the season but it's a massive gamble. My despondency is centred around those who are supposed to making decision in the best interests of OUR club. There recent track record ( by their own admission) has been poor. Top half of the Prem, will never happen with the culture we have at this club at the moment.
Agree with you, Surgeryman. I think I'm right in saying that you predicted all along that they would go with Adams and to be honest I thought you were crazy, I thought 'not even this stupid Board could fart around for two weeks and then hire the guy whom they clearly didn't want.' However, it seems I underestimated the shambolic qualities of our board and you were totally right.
I agree, I thought there was zero chance of it being Adams because of the backlash. I should have realised with Smith & Jones still being here.
Been seeing this from the 70s Vietnam. The Norwich way is to play a good passing game, win very little and show little ambition and going for cheap options. Yes you get the odd high and low but the last two years have been classical leading to the farce we see unfolding. Basket especially should keep his mouth shut. It's not Adams fault and I will get behind the team as ever, but the boards decision making around what has happened this year is astounding.
I can live with incompetence. We all make mistakes and running a football club is obviously a very 'complex' thing to do and I recognise that it's easy for us to sit on the sidelines and carp and criticise. What I can't accept is the duplicity and the condescension and the PR bullshit about 'relegation being worse than death' and 'scouring the whole of Europe to find managers'. I can't accept patronising little nonentities like Bowkett believing that we, the stupid lumpenproletariat, will be consoled with a few crumbs of wisdom from their table. If this all goes tits up, I hope the fans have the sense to target the Board and not Adams.
ah right, that's a shame he would have been good in the championship, I bet you're please that Redmond is staying though, I personally can't wait for all the shots into the crowd!
I am pleased Redmond is staying actually. He might pick the ball up in more advanced positions which was always one of my big criticisms. There is far more space in the championship than The EPL.
**** me VC, you swallowed a friggin' dictionary, what on earth does that mean ? I agree with your post, I think
People saying that they haven't seen anything that makes them think Hooper will be a success if he stays, should cast their minds back a few years. Before he moved to Celtic, didn't he score 20 odd goals for Scunthorpe in this division?
Totally agree with you carrabuh and I can see him being played in a different role to what he has played in up till now.
His a bottler and a liar. I find this technical director his dreamt up role hilarious, it's a glorified facilities manager, Technical board too what the **** is that all about? seriously they need to pipe down because people aren't happy.
Given the freedom he has for the England U21s a year in the championship could be excellent for his development
I still think he'll need work work on his finishing though, but he doesn't seems to have any issues scoring international goals, maybe it was the hughton effect!
