Well maybe so. But I'm basing it on my own experience i.e. making short lists for appointments in my job and there have been several occasions when the first two people have turned the post down but the third person has not been offered the post and we start again because it is evident we would be selling ourselves and our patients short to appoint the best available person at that moment in time.
Just a tongue in cheek question, and I don't know the answer to the question, other than the talks broke down because the board felt it wasn't in the best interests of the club, well their recent decisions hardly seem in the best interests of the club
I agree that in some situations it could be wise to ' think again ' but our Board did not have time on their side and, as I said - who was going to be available this week who wasn't available last week?
Mick Dennis (see another thread) seems to think we're in the market for two directors. A technical director and a director of recruitment. So it won't be a director of football, rather the responsibilities of that role split between two people.
I'm just waiting for everyone to finally accept that Adams is our manager, not sure why people are banging on about it still, he's the manager, lets see what he can do!
So we will have someone in charge for literally signing people?? Where do I send my CV, I have a good eye for a bargain on FM.
you will be glad to know that steve foley has turned down the oppotunity to join you boys and has stayed on part time at needham market.
Steve Foley not coming is more good news. Sounds like the board enquired about him, some idiot assumed it was a job offer and announced it, and then it went no further. What with several players confirming they are staying, along with positive sounding interviews, things are definitely looking up.
I've just read about the whole Steve Foley thing appointment/ non appointment. What a complete shambles.
After the pig-circus involving Hughton's removal and the dithering over appointing a successor, what exactly were you expecting?
It seems to me that Adams is just the puppet while the board will be making all the decisions on and off the pitch.
