I have just seen a trailer for BBC1's World Cup coverage and, guess what, Robbie Savage seems to be the front man :emoticon-0106-cryin

I cannot stand this clown. He is like a cross between Keith Lemon & Lilly Savage. In fact, I admit that I don't watch MOTD if he is on it, and turn 5 Live off if he comes on. He is a perma tanned, unintelligible twAt.

    Your views on Robbie please.

If you can look passed the boutique-esq exterior, I think he actually talks quite well on football.

As a player I would have him firmly in the 'hate him, but would love to have him in our team' bracket.

He's alright. A bit too LBC in that he says things to provoke a reaction (not debate). But if he puts his sensible cap on he's not too bad.

Like him on MOTD, not on 606.

Why do the Beeb keep over promoting him ?

He never played in a World Cup or even at Champions League level.

Is it to fulfill a secret 'must get a Welshman on prime time TV quota' ?

Can't stand him either, but he is far better than the usual BBC cronies - Hanson, Souness, Shearer, Lawrenson, Lineker et al - what a boring bunch that lot are!!

This... wouldn't mind someone with his engine, tenacity and commitment in the heart of our midfield.

Souness..? I thought he was on Sky...

TC... Most, if not all those you listed are poor, and savage will compliment them nicely...

None of these mugs have, or will stop my enjoyment of football...

Think Hansons defensive analysis is the best of the pundits. Gary Neville overall. Garth Crooks worst.

Savage and Claridge are the reasons why I stopped listening to 606 a couple of years ago.

I long for the halcyon days when 606 was a fans phone-in.

Now it's a show dictated by the views of the pundits, and the most deluded fans they can find for a cheap sound bite.

Danny Baker made it rather high brow and classy. Now it's just Jeremy Kyle for arm chair numpties.

Neville and Carragher on sky are the best pundits. Also like Guillem Balague who does the spanish football. MOTD has fallen well behind sky.

Absolutely agree.Duncan McKenzie was OK, and Bob "the cat" Bevan, but it's just got worse and worse since then.

Volly would prefer Eamon Dunphy on BBC.

    So would I <ok>

I actually think Stan Collymore is good on talksport - especially when he's tweeting at the same time and getting abuse - very entertaining <laugh>

I actually quite like Robbie Savage, always thought Hansen was the best, Carragher and Neville are decent too.

606 has now become a total vehicle for the ego of Robbie Savage. I withstood half an hour of it last week, during this time they squeezed in no more than 3 short calls from ordinary fans.

606 was at it's best when Alan Green did it
